The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, June 17, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) hugged Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) over a mom team-up that was obviously a trick – and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) pushed Eric Forrester (John McCook) to choose.
At Li’s hideout, Sheila wasn’t sure what to do when John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) lost consciousness again.
Li was on the floor groaning after being bashed in the head, so Sheila stood over her and glared.
After Sheila pushed Li to get up and help Finn, she insisted that Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot) needed his dad.
Li stared at Sheila and asked if she really loved Finn, so Sheila confirmed that she loved him more than anything and never meant to hurt him.
That led to Li claiming that after seeing and hearing Sheila now, she was starting to believe Sheila truly loved THEIR son.
Li said there was no denying that Sheila brought Finn into the world and gave him life, so Sheila was so glad to hear her talk like this.
Sheila apologized for hitting Li and reminded her that she said she’d call the police, but Li claimed Finn’s well-being was all she cared about.
After Sheila thanked Li for saving Finn’s life, she pulled her into an awkward hug that left Li looking uneasy.
Sheila asked if Finn would ever be the same, but Li wasn’t sure since he was deprived of oxygen for quite some time that night.
However, Li admitted it was a good sign that Finn opened his eyes.
After Li reminded Sheila that she was a nurse and could see that their boy was struggling, she said she was running out of supplies.
Li promised she didn’t want to be Sheila’s enemy and that she wasn’t going to the police.
Sheila asked how she could be sure, so Li pointed out she’d go to jail herself for signing Finn’s death certificate and smuggling him out of the hospital.
Li had a lot to lose, including her medical license and her freedom.
That’s why Li insisted she had to be there with Finn – that he needed her and needed Sheila, too.
Once Finn started waking up again, Li told him that both his mothers were there.
At Forrester Creations on Friday’s B&B episode, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) did her best to calm Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) down and convince him that Sheila couldn’t hide forever.
Ridge wound up calling Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin), who had no leads and admitted Sheila seemed to have had help from a guard during a prison transfer.
Baker vowed to bring Sheila to justice, so Ridge urged him to do that before somebody else got hurt.
Since Li wasn’t answering Ridge’s calls or texts, he asked Taylor if they should be worried.
Taylor pointed out that Li was a busy doctor, so she guessed Li was off trying to save someone’s life.
At the Forrester mansion, Hope showed up to see Eric and made sure they were alone.
After admitting what she overheard and saw at the beach club, she pushed for Eric’s side of the affair story.
Although Eric wasn’t comfortable cheating, he confessed that Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) brought something wonderful to his life.
Eric acknowledged that his marriage hadn’t been the same since Quinn Forrester’s (Rena Sofer) involvement with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor).
Hope understood why Eric would be drawn to Donna, but she felt that he needed to be honest with himself since this affair wasn’t fair to either woman.
Since Hope could tell the guilt was eating Eric up, she insisted a decision needed to be made.
Although Hope wasn’t encouraging Eric to leave Quinn or stay with her, she pushed Eric to make a choice and thought it was important for the truth to be told.
In the Forrester Creations design office, Quinn told Carter what went down with Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) and how she agreed to keep quiet about the smart ring.
It was hard for Quinn since she didn’t like keeping secrets from Eric.
Next, Carter and Quinn touched hands as she showed off the new batch of gemstones.
There was another close moment as Carter slipped a ring on Quinn’s finger, so Carter finally blurted out that he couldn’t live like this.
Carter adored Quinn, but he knew she couldn’t betray Eric. Nevertheless, Carter insisted that he had to shut this down and move on.
When Carter started to bolt for the door, Quinn called out and convinced him to stop.
