The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) is still a lowlife for not stopping Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) drinking. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) would’ve stepped up and prevented disaster, so we have to call Deacon out for encouraging Brooke’s bad decisions.
If Deacon were truly the changed man he claims to be, he would’ve snatched the vodka bottle out of Brooke’s hand and poured it out for her own good.
Deacon also could’ve called Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) to let her know something was wrong.
Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) label switch doesn’t really matter here since Deacon could tell Brooke was acting off.
Deacon even asked if Brooke was drunk before she pointed out the nonalcoholic Champagne bottle.
Drunk or not, Deacon knew Brooke wasn’t acting like herself and took advantage of it instead of calling for backup.
Deacon assured Brooke that he was a perfect gentleman in the aftermath, but there never would’ve been an aftermath at all if Deacon had treated Brooke right.
Not to mention sleeping on the same bed with Brooke was far from a gentleman’s behavior!
B&B put Deacon “the changed man” to the test – and unfortunately, he failed miserably.
It’s clear that Deacon took a selfish path on New Year’s Eve instead of putting Brooke first.
Deacon only cared about spending time alone with Brooke and trying to pull her closer.
If that meant letting Brooke fall off the wagon, Deacon was willing to do that and even joined in. He wasn’t a good influence on Brooke and made that disastrous night far worse.
Deacon doesn’t seem to grasp the gravity of what happened since he acted like Brooke could just attend some AA meetings and get back on the wagon no problem.
It was a huge deal for Brooke to break her sobriety, but Deacon is downplaying everything and proving he’s got a long way to go in improving himself.
