The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, October 3, reveals that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) walked out on what he assumed was a lying Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) while Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) protected her fragile heart.
Although Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) knew this was hard for Ridge, he pointed out that they both heard Brooke on the recording.
Ridge ultimately decided that if Brooke did this, he had to give her a chance to come clean.
At Brooke’s place, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) came barging in with questions about Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) and the CPS call.
Brooke assured Hope that Douglas was fine and hinted that maybe she could use this to get her son back home where he belonged.
After Hope shut down that idea, she defended Thomas as a parent. Brooke wondered if it was really wise for Hope to be around Thomas so much.
Hope took a call about Hope for the Future and mentioned Thomas being the lead designer, so that reminded Brooke of just how interwoven their lives were.
Although Brooke acted like Thomas was manipulating the situation, Hope was upset over what her mother was implying.
It was like Brooke thought Hope was incapable of taking care of herself or making good decisions.
Hope argued that Thomas was on the right track and didn’t think he deserved having CPS called on him.
Soon after, Hope decided she should head to the office and see Thomas to make sure Douglas was OK.
When Ridge came home, he overheard Brooke making dinner reservations for them.
Ridge talked about the CPS visit and how they were trying to figure out who made the call, so Brooke suggested maybe someone was trying to get back at Thomas.
After Ridge pointed out that Douglas was questioned, Brooke said maybe whoever called didn’t know that would happen.
Ridge eventually claimed he forgot something at the office and rushed outside, where he paused and grumbled about Brooke lying to his face.
At the cliff house on Monday’s B&B episode, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) suggested this trip could help Taylor come to terms with whatever she decided about Ridge.
Although Taylor didn’t want to wait for Ridge anymore, Steffy warned Taylor not to close her heart off.
However, Taylor felt that’s what she had to do if she was going to protect it.
On Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) jet, Taylor seemed pleased that there’d be no Ridge reminders in Aspen.
Unfortunately, Taylor was still reminded of the last time she was on a private plane and all the wonderful memories of Monaco.
After Taylor thought back to her kiss with Ridge, Steffy got off a phone call with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).
Steffy considered the idea of Finn coming to join them, but then she thought maybe it should just be a girls’ trip.
Once Steffy urged Taylor to keep the door open for a Ridge reunion, Taylor said she didn’t want to since the draft was cold.
If Brooke was the love of Ridge’s life, then Taylor said she wished him well.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Taylor will do even more soul-searching once she makes it to tranquil Aspen, so stay tuned.
