The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, September 12, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) passed up a kidnapping opportunity while Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) traded threats.
At the cliff house, Sheila held Hayes Finnegan (Illiana and Vienna Norris) in her arms and looked at the nearby door – seemingly contemplating whether to run with him.
When John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) returned, Hayes was alone in his playpen. Finn questioned how Hayes’ stuffed animal got on the floor before Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) arrived.
Zende dropped off new sketches for Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and talked to Finn about the Sheila situation. As someone who was adopted as well, Zende understood that Finn was going through some complex emotions.
Finn admitted it had been a challenging time, but he was focused on his family and knew Sheila was never coming back. Later, Finn noticed the backdoor was open and seemed pensive.
Once Sheila was back at Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) place, he checked on her during his break. Deacon understood that Sheila was in pain, but he pushed her to understand that she could never be part of the picture for Finn and Hayes.
Although Deacon had to head back to work, he gave Sheila a kiss before he left. Once Sheila was alone, she clutched a pillow and said it was like she still felt Hayes in her arms. Sheila didn’t care what Deacon said; she vowed to somehow find a way to be in Finn and Hayes’ lives.
At Forrester Creations on Monday’s B&B episode, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) bickered about Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) as well as Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri).
Taylor defended Thomas’ desire to spend more time with his son, but Brooke argued that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) had just as many legal rights as Douglas’ adoptive mother.
However, Taylor was unsure of why those adoption papers were signed since Thomas was in a bad place at the time. Furthermore, Taylor argued that Hope hadn’t been doing much sharing when it came to their shared custody arrangement.
Brooke insisted that Hope stepped up and gave Douglas a loving, stable home when Thomas couldn’t. Taylor made it clear that Thomas was ready to step up now, but Brooke obviously didn’t agree.
At the Forrester mansion, Thomas came in from the pool and was ambushed by Liam, who was there to pick up Douglas. Thomas said Douglas was out with Steffy and Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay), but Liam was willing to wait.
After Thomas mentioned that Douglas was having a friend over for a cookout tonight, Liam ranted about this “changed man act” Thomas was trying to pull.
Thomas urged Liam to admit that the love he shared with Douglas was real and thought that was all that mattered. If Liam ever tried to come between Thomas and Douglas, Thomas warned that there’d “be hell to pay!”
Liam argued that this wasn’t about trying to come between a father and his son. It was about Thomas acknowledging that it was best for Douglas to stay with Liam, Hope and Beth Spencer (River Davidson) at the cabin.
Thomas wasn’t so sure about that, so Liam argued that Douglas should exist in both words. Instead, Liam felt that Thomas was “hoarding the kid” and using the situation to spend time with Hope.
After Thomas asked what Liam was insinuating, Liam told him to look in the mirror and suggested that Thomas’ Hope obsession was kicking back up.
Although Thomas was the only one who could know for certain, Liam acted like Thomas was trying to woo Hope and pointed out he wasn’t getting invitations to come along with her.
If Thomas’ obsession was returning, Liam warned that Thomas would lose control. Liam added that it was his job to protect Hope, Beth and Douglas – even if that meant protecting them for Thomas at all costs.
