The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) may push Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) to undo the adoption and strip Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) of legal rights to Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri).
During Taylor’s confrontation with Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) on the September 12 episode, Brooke rushed to her daughter’s defense.
Although Taylor argued that Douglas belonged with his father, Brooke pointed out that Hope has the same legal rights since she’s Douglas’ adoptive mother.
That led to Taylor expressing her concerns about the adoption papers and questioning why they were signed when Thomas wasn’t in his right mind.
Taylor suggested Hope could still play a role in Douglas’ life without the legal paperwork, so that could be a hint about where this B&B story is headed.
Will Taylor push Thomas to reverse the adoption and take away Hope’s legal rights to Douglas?
Taylor may argue that Thomas wasn’t mentally capable of making such a permanent decision about his son’s future.
That could give Thomas a case when it comes to undoing the adoption, but he also has to think about what’s best for Douglas.
If Taylor pressures Thomas to go this far, it’ll be a bad look for her as a therapist.
Taylor should know that yanking away Hope’s adoptive mom status would be hard on Douglas under the circumstances.
Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) died when Douglas was pretty young, so Hope is the only mother he’s known for most of his childhood.
Douglas clearly adores Hope, so Thomas will have to take that into consideration when it comes to making his next move.
This could turn into a brutal battle on both sides – at least if it goes to court. Thomas would certainly have to be prepared for his abusive past to come out.
Douglas was used in many of obsessed Thomas’ plots to manipulate Hope.
Thomas almost physically hit Douglas at one point, so he was really at rock bottom when Hope stepped up.
That said, Taylor was right about Hope not doing much sharing when it came to shared custody.
Now Thomas isn’t doing much sharing either, so maybe the solution is to find some common ground and truly split time with Douglas.
