The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 9, reveals that Taylor Forrester’s (Krista Allen) kiss confession thrilled Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) while Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) had a passionate surprise for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).
At the cliff house, Steffy continued to blast Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) for being cruel, but Li defended her actions and thought the focus should be kept on Steffy’s reunion with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).
Once Taylor wrapped up her chat with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), she headed to the cliff house and immediately sensed the tense atmosphere. Li left in a huff before Steffy confessed she didn’t know how she was supposed to forgive her mother-in-law.
Steffy noted that Li thought Finn’s life would’ve been less complicated if he hadn’t met her. That frustrated Steffy since she wasn’t responsible for Jack Finnegan’s (Ted King) affair or Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) showing up at the wedding.
Taylor understood that frustration on Tuesday’s B&B episode, but she reminded Steffy that Li saved Finn’s life. Steffy said she’d be forever grateful for that and acknowledged that her future couldn’t be brighter.
Since Taylor seemed distracted, Steffy pushed her mom to reveal what was on her mind. Taylor painted the picture of what happened in Monaco and admitted to sharing a kiss with Ridge in their state of euphoria.
Steffy smiled since this was wonderful news, but Taylor knew what her daughter’s next question would be. That led to Steffy confirming Taylor’s suspicions and asking what this meant for her parents.
At Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) place, she assured Hope and Liam that Ridge would fully recommit soon. Hope remained uneasy about the selfie, but Brooke said they talked it out – and Liam urged Hope not to go looking for trouble.
Liam and Hope were excited to see Finn as well as Steffy once they had some alone time. When Ridge walked in the door, he overheard Liam suggesting a party and liked the sound of that.
Ridge thanked Liam for being there for Steffy in her time of need and for letting Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) travel overseas.
Since Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) had been so helpful, Ridge also acknowledged Liam’s father. Talk ultimately turned to what Li did, so Hope imagined it would create a strain in her relationship with Steffy.
At the cabin later, Hope shut Liam up with a kiss and pointed out they were all alone in the house. After Hope began undressing Liam, she touched his chest as passion erupted.
Back with Ridge, he told Brooke that a weight had been lifted due to Steffy’s reunion. Brooke noted that they hadn’t been able to celebrate Ridge’s return, so she thought they should remedy that.
Ridge shared a steamy kiss with Brooke, but he eventually sat down on the sofa looking pensive. Brooke said she knew Ridge better than anybody and wondered what was going on.
