The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Tuesday, May 3, tease that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) will defend Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) devotion to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), but Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will make a sad prediction.
At the cabin, Hope will rush to Liam’s defense and try to rationalize all the time he’s spending with Steffy right now.
Steffy has been through a terrible ordeal, so she’s facing a lot of trauma and needs help to get through it.
Hope gets that Liam still feels connected to Steffy and wants to step up for her as well as Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay).
Hope will try to pretend everything is fine, but Thomas won’t buy it and will likely reiterate his fear that Hope could get hurt.
Thomas knows Liam is always going to have a conflicted heart when it comes to Hope and Steffy.
Thomas may warn that Liam will let Hope down again and worry about the toll it’ll take when it happens.
Thomas will provoke Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) with all this talk of gloom and doom, especially since he’s been making comparisons between Liam and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
Ridge is someone else with a torn heart right now, and we all know who Thomas is counting on his father to choose!
Thomas may warn that Brooke should prepare herself for Ridge to choose Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) – just like Hope should prepare for Liam to waffle back to Steffy.
Nevertheless, B&B spoilers say Hope will try to have faith in Liam and their marriage.
Liam has disappointed Hope with betrayals before, but she’ll hope that he’s truly found a place of platonic love with Steffy.
Things will indeed stay platonic as Liam comforts Steffy at the cliff house, but that’s to be expected since Steffy just got out of the hospital and is grieving for her husband.
For now, Steffy is just trying to recover and cope with the unbearable loss of John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).
Steffy can’t think about moving on romantically just yet, but she’ll still lean on Liam during this tragic time.
