The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 12, reveals that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) met Paris Buckingham’s (Diamond White) frosty mom while Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had a Logan trash fest and insisted her dad belonged with the Forresters.
First on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) assured Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) that although she didn’t know what was going on with Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), she was there if Brooke needed her.
Hope argued that what Brooke needed was stability and security right now, so Taylor asked if Hope thought she was upsetting that somehow. Steffy piped up that Brooke felt threatened having Taylor back in town. She reminded Hope that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) had two families, so Hope suggested she thought they had one big one.
Taylor tried to keep the tension from escalating and said Steffy was just explaining the complexity of the situation. Now that Taylor was back in Ridge’s orbit, they were going to see each other. Even so, Taylor promised she didn’t return to break up Ridge’s marriage to Brooke.
At Brooke’s place, she urged Ridge to head to the office since she didn’t need him to babysit. She was grateful for Ridge’s support, but she thought she’d be fine on her own. Brooke suggested she made a mistake that would never happen again because she had too much respect for their marriage and life together.
Back at the cliff house, Steffy was alone with Taylor as she expressed her frustration over Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). Steffy felt Brooke was practically throwing her old indiscretion in Ridge’s face and didn’t think Brooke cared about Ridge’s feelings at all.
Taylor said Ridge made his choice a long time ago, but Steffy insisted that her father made the wrong one. She hyped up Ridge’s supportive family away from the Logans and all their drama. Steffy could tell Ridge wasn’t happy and didn’t understand why the Logans always came first.
Steffy assumed Brooke brought whatever trouble she was in on herself. She knew Hope needed her father, but Steffy felt she needed her own father too – and so did Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Taylor acted like the family was torn apart by circumstance and bad luck all those years ago, but Steffy suggested there was more to it than that. She thought everything Ridge was dealing with was crazy.
Steffy wasn’t asking Taylor to compete for a man, but she wanted her mother to fight for her family. She knew Ridge still loved Taylor deep down and felt they had to get him out of harm’s way. Steffy insisted that Ridge needed to be with the Forresters, not the Logans.
Back at Brooke’s place, Hope spied on her mom with Ridge as they shared a close moment. After Ridge went to the office, Hope wanted to stick around and support Brooke. She also had questions about Brooke’s complete 180 since Hope hadn’t heard from Deacon since New Year’s Eve.
Hope wondered if Brooke told Deacon to stay away, so Brooke had a flashback of telling Deacon he could never come back there. Hope asked if Brooke blamed Deacon for her relapse and noted that he was gone before that happened. She felt she should’ve been there instead of leaving Brooke all alone.
Brooke reiterated that this wasn’t Hope’s fault, but Hope felt like everything began to unravel when she invited Deacon back into their lives. If something happened between Deacon and Brooke, Hope needed to know.
At Forrester Creations, Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) wrapped up the grand tour and gushed over how wonderful Eric Forrester (John McCook) was. She was so proud of Paris and everything she’d accomplished.
When Carter came in, Paris introduced him to her mom. There was some thick tension as Grace met Carter for the first time. Grace acknowledged that Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) was doing big things and moving on with her life.
Carter pointed out that Paris missed having her family around and tried to lighten things up, but it was obvious Grace didn’t like him much due to his history with Zoe. After Carter learned Grace had a job offer just down the street, Grace talked about how her daughters were driven, resilient and knew how to take care of themselves.
Paris tried to help by confirming that Carter recommended her for the Forrester Foundation position. Carter said they were lucky to have Paris and that she had a huge fan club around there, but Grace remained standoffish.
Ridge ultimately arrived and met Grace, who was apologetic for Dr. Reese Buckingham’s (Wayne Brady) actions and all the baby drama. After Ridge made it clear they had all moved on, Grace praised Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) for helping her pull off this surprise visit. She was impressed by Zende, who was very fond of Grace’s daughter according to Ridge.
Grace planned to stay at a hotel, but Paris pushed her mother to stay at her place instead. Since that meant extra bonding time, Grace was all for the idea. As other B&B news comes in, we’ll bring you updates.
