McCall broke into the Cuban Embassy in D.C. She took out several guards, stole classified files, and made an escape via a motorcycle. She had been reckless. She normally never would have done something like that. But Bishop’s death has affected her. She lost her mentor and she went down a spiral because of it. She was willing to do anything to capture his killer. She wanted Mason Quinn. Quinn was a dangerous enemy. He almost killed McCall the last time they met and so everyone warned her against pursuing him. They all thought it was too dangerous. Her family was even concerned.

Delilah keeps asking her mom if something was wrong. McCall would always fob her off. She also made sure to change the subject and so she was doing her best to hide what was happening. She didn’t talk to her family. She barely told her friend what was happening. They hadn’t known she was going to break into an embassy until after the fact. Both Mel and Harry had been taken by surprise. They thought her actions were concerning, but first, they heard her reasons for doing it and it was once they knew the full story that they both expressed concern. They didn’t want her going after Mason Quinn on her own.

Only she wasn’t alone. McCall reached out to CIA Officer Carter Griffin. She told him about what she found. She said that Quinn had been meeting up with Omar Delgado. Delgado is former Cuban intelligence. Which is why she broke into the embassy. She just didn’t tell Carter about it and she only mentioned Delgado because not long after his meeting with Quinn there was evidence Quinn came to America. McCall suspected Quinn was about to carry out a terrorist attack on American soil. She wanted Griffin’s help. He agreed to do what he could. They had already been looking for Delgado and so arresting him was simple.

McCall even got court seats to witness the arrest go down. But she didn’t just want Delgado. She wants Quinn and she and Griffin were both working out how to leverage Delgado into getting what they wanted when work and personal lives became connected. McCall’s daughter Delilah reached out to the Equalizer. Her best friend Vera had her whole life ruined by a vindictive ex-boyfriend. The ex shared naked photos of Vera with their school. He also uploaded it on porn sites. People began putting her faces on naked women performing sex acts and it was all attached to Vera’s name. Every school, internship, or job was going to find out about it.

Vera was having a breakdown. She blames herself for what happened. She tried going to her school for help and they put the burden of proof on her. They basically told her that there was nothing she or they could do about it. Vera went home early. She was heavily traumatized by the whole thing. She told Delilah that videos with her face were like watching herself get raped over and over again. Delilah just couldn’t accept their situation when she heard that. She wanted to fight back. Vera didn’t want her parents to know about what happened and so Delilah first reached out to Detective Dante. She remembered as the detective that helped her when another friend was killed

But Dante said there was nothing he could do once her image hit the internet. He, therefore, told her to contact the Equalizer and Delilah, knowing that person was her mom, had decided to do just that. She later told her about Vera’s situation. She asked for help. Delilah also wanted to meet the people on McCall’s team and so McCall finally introduced Delilah to Mel and Harry. They hugged the teen. They’ve heard so many stories about Delilah that they probably know her better than she knows herself. They also told her war stories. They told her about the amazing things that McCall has done. McCall never talks about it because she’s not one to brag.

Talking to Mel and Harry was good for Delilah. It gave her people to talk to once she couldn’t reach her mom. Which is what ends up happening. Delilah went to school the next day and no one saw Vera. Vera also sent a goodbye message. Delilah figured out she was going to kill herself and she tried calling her mom. She called several times. Nothing got through. Her mom was out of cell range and so Delilah went to Harry and Mel and they helped her track down Vera. Vera went to the hotel where they had their sophomore dance. She was going to kill herself at the place she was last happy with her ex-boyfriend.

Vera was on the roof talking down to Vera when McCall finally got into contact. McCall found out that Quinn was planning on using a dirty bomb to take out Manhattan and so the CIA was all over this. They even wanted McCall to lead their team in stopping him. But first McCall needed to be there for her baby. She went to the hotel. She witnessed Delilah get through to Vera and Vera coming down off that ledge. Delilah had been amazing. And McCall was glad she got to witness it.

McCall later agreed to run the task force on recapturing Quinn. And the only thing she asked for in return was that she gets to bring her own team with her. So, Mel and Harry were going to work the case.

Harry also took down each and every photo of Vera online. He also helped the police prove it was the ex-boyfriend who sent the photo and so the teen got arrested.

McCall was driving her family later that day when someone crashed into their car and abducted her right in front of her family.
