Tonight’s episode begins with Shaun and Lea, she made pancakes for him and they’re having them in bed. She tells him she doesn’t want any more dress fittings, she just wants to get married. He goes on his computer and tells her there is space at the courthouse tomorrow.

Audrey is also having breakfast with Dalisay and it is a few days since she is crashing there now.

At the hospital, Asher had a smoothie that makes him dance and to his surprise, his parents walk in.

Morgan introduces Alex to a patient, Steph, who is paralyzed from the face down nine years ago. She has had four serious bouts of pneumonia in the last few months. There is surgery, but there are a lot of risks. Steph doesn’t care, she wants the surgery so she doesn’t feel so crappy.

Asher is sitting with his parents, his father tells him that he has terminal lung cancer and only has a year to live and no good surgical options. His mother says they don’t want his sympathy, he is a doctor, and they want a miracle through him.

Morgan has a job interview, she tells Alex she wants to be in demand.

Alex and Lea are returning their wedding presents.

Asher calls in Shaun to look over his father’s file, he tells his father that they will try to find a treatment. Jerome walks into the room to draw some blood, Asher says he is a nurse.

Steph’s surgery went well, they removed all the scar tissue. Although she did have feelings in one of her hands now she doesn’t and Audrey doesn’t know if they will come back.

Asher is with his father who is getting an MRI, he says he read his letter recently, and his father says he sent it six years ago. His father tells him he chose to leave, they wanted to help him, but he is not the only one that struggled to find his own path. Asher says he could have followed his rules or accepted and loved who he is. All of a sudden, his father seems like he is struggling to breathe, Asher calls for help.

Jordan doesn’t want the present back, she tells Lea to open it. Indie there is a photo of Lea. In 15 minutes, Lea opened all the presents.

Steph and her husband are watching videos of her before her accent and Morgan is heartbroken.

Asher’s dad is in surgery, and Shaun, Marcus, and Jordan are there. His father has a malignant pleural infusion. They can’t do anything about it, his prognosis was wrong, and he only has a few weeks to live.

Shaun tells Asher’s father that he has weeks, maybe days. His mother says they have been privileged with great miracles from God and they will again.

Morgan has an idea to give Steph’s speech back, its brand new technology. Marcus is against it, he doesn’t think she can handle another surgery. Morgan says she is trying to give her back her quality of life. Audrey says to bring it to them, with no emotion, and see what they say.

Asher’s father invites him, Jordan, Alex, Jerome, Lea, and Morgan to Shabbos. Alex apologizes to Morgan for earlier about Steph, she tells him that she was offered the job. Asher won’t partake, he says he will not do something for a God he doesn’t believe in. His father says he knows he is going to die, he wants to go to God in peace, and he wants Asher home with the family. Asher chuckles and says it is sad, he wants to be their son, but he can’t. He walks over and kisses Jerome in front of his parents, he says this is who he is and this is his boyfriend. Jerome and Asher leave the room.

Shaun has wise words for Asher who says his father would like him better if he were straight and Shaun says his father would like him better if he didn’t have autism. But the difference is, that Asher’s father visited him.

Shaun comes up with an idea for Asher’s father, it might give him a year, maybe more. The recovery is that he will have to stay in the hospital for one week. His father is worried about the risk, he doesn’t want to die without being at home with his family.

Steph is in surgery, and Audrey tells Alex that she heard Morgan got a job offer.

Jordan goes to speak to Asher and tells him that he is being a jerk. She says she only knows him as cute and caring and since his parents showed up, he is just angry. Jordan tells him his father came there for peace, not a miracle cure.

Asher is in the chapel with his mother, he tells her that she should take his father home, he wants peace. He says he always defends their marriage, their love, and his dream of finding someone who loves him as much.

Steph is out of surgery, it works, she tells her husband that she loves him.

Dalisay found an apartment, she tells Audrey that she will have her apartment for herself within the week. Audrey tells her that she got used to her world-class breakfast, maybe she can give her a few more weeks. Shaun and Lea come out of the elevator. Aaron and Jordan tell them they are going to throw them a proper wedding there. They have the dress, the suit, and the flowers.

Asher’s father is well enough to go home, he hugs his son and tells him that he loves him. His mother tells him that he needs a haircut.

Aaron is helping Shaun get ready, he gives him a gift that was passed down from his great-grandparents, rings, he wants him to have them for him and Lea. Shaun asks if they can go fishing again sometime. Shaun says his father is a very good father, then he tells him that he loves him. And, Aaron says he loves him too.

Shaun and Lea are ready, and Marcus is officiating the wedding. They exchange rings, they are husband and wife.

Aaron gives a wonderful heartwarming speech and tells the two they deserve each other. Everyone starts dancing.

Morgan tells Alex she wants the job, he tells her that he understands.

Aaron watches Lea and Shaun dance, he smiles and remembers the boy he took fishing.

Audrey goes to the break room to get glasses and notices blood on the floor, Dalisay has been attacked. Dalisay says he is here, her ex. All of a sudden, he comes out of nowhere and stabs Audrey, the two women are on the floor bloody and nobody can hear them.
