Tonight’s The Walking Dead episode begins at the apartment building, the commonwealth police say there are two men down at the east exit.
Daryl meets up with Carol, he asks her to lunch later. He goes in for his daily assignment, he has been assigned with Rosita in the same sector. Last-minute they are told that they need to go outside the walls, their sector is covered. Meanwhile, Aaron is with Maggy who gets a gun to her head, Negan walks in and saves the day, he tells everyone to take down their weapons. Negan lives there, Aaron thinks Gabriel has been taken, Negan says he is not. Inside a secure area within the apartment, is Gabriel.
Daryl and Rosita are out walking with two other commonwealth cops. Sebastien wants Daryl and Rosita to take over a house through a swarm of walkers to get him cash that is in the house. Mommy cut him off and he needs the money. Sebastien pretty much threatens the children if Rosita and Daryl don’t do it. They cover themselves in walker guts and blood and make their way to the house. Inside the house, a woman is in the room with the money, she begs them not to leave her. Her name is April, Rosita tells her that they won’t leave her. Sebastien had sent April down there to get the money too because she was in debt and he told her this was a way to get out of it.
Negan is married, that is a surprise, her name is Annie. Maggie and Annie are together, she tells Maggie she is twelve weeks pregnant with Negan’s child. Negan calls Annie on the radio, he found her son, Hershel. He tells her to stay there, he is safe, she should stay focused. Annie tells her that she knows what Negan did, he told her. Sometimes she had to do things as well, and she is not proud of it, they are both trying to do better. Maggie tells her that he doesn’t get to forget.
Hershel tells Negan that his mom told him to stay away from him. He wants to know what he did. Negan tells him that he was a bad man. Hershel pulls a gun on him, he says his mom told him a bad man killed his dad, it was him, wasn’t it? Negan admits it and tries to talk him down with the gun. He puts it down and runs out of the room. Negan cries.
Back at the house, Daryl gets the generator working. They manage to unlock the door to the room that April is locked in, but the alarm goes off. Daryl gets the safe out, but Walkers are attracted by the dozens to get inside because of the noise. They manage to smash the alarm unit, the beeping stops. They hear gunshots outside, Mercer and Carol are there. Rosita tells him that Sebastien threatened the children they had no choice but to go get the money for him.
April came with twelve people, she is the only one left. They all rub themselves with blood to get out. April is totally freaked out, hopefully, she doesn’t lose it before they get out. April doesn’t make it out, she gets hooked up with some zombies and is killed. They have limited ammo and knives to help them get out.
Toby and his commonwealth police are sweeping the apartment building, he tells him they are going to search it and then burn the place down, Maggie overhears. The commonwealth is in the unit where the secret entrance leads to Gabriel, Negan, and the rest. He bends down to grab a bottle of whiskey and notices footprints going in the closet.
But before he can investigate, he hears gunshots and runs towards them to find Aaron and Gabriel. Elijah comes to the rescue, but not before Toby calls for help. Aaron shoots him and he falls to the ground, he is not dead though and there are walkers abound that enjoy the feast.
Mercer is not happy about what Sebastien did, once they all get to safety, he shoots Sebastien’s two men dead. They get back to Sebastien and Mercer says his two men didn’t make it. Sebastien is over the moon with the money and he congratulates them and says he is so happy they are friends again. He leaves a wad of cash, their payment and takes the rest, then leaves.
Lance is trying to get Toby on the radio but he can’t reach him. Carol walks in and says she was helping some friends in a jam, because of Sebastien, he was sending people in to get cash for him through a horde of walkers. Lance asks about the money, he says finally. Lance knew about it, now Carol knows who she is dealing with. He tells her that it is nice to talk to someone who sees the big picture, not many can.
Negan tells Hershel to go back with his mom, one day they will meet up and they will settle it. Maggie walks in, she wants to know what Negan said, but he won’t talk.
Gabriel tells Maggie that it is only a matter of time before Hornsby finds these people.
We go back two weeks, to who actually stole the weapons from the Commonwealth convoy. One soldier was left and Leah was the one to cut her throat.
