The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) may kick off a new secret partnership. Will a dangerous team form to get everything they want in Genoa City?
Y&R fans know Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has been serving as an Abbott spy, but she wants out of this arrangement.
Diane will be of no real use once her link to Tucker inevitably gets revealed anyway.
That puts Tucker down a partner in crime, but let’s consider another secret connection.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is also working as Tucker’s mole at Chancellor-Winters based on the evidence so far.
Once his connection to Audra is exposed, Tucker won’t have that alliance either.
It’s obvious that Tucker likes to have people working with him behind the scenes, so he may find a new partner once Diane and Audra are out.
Tucker needs someone who won’t have a crisis of conscience, so a schemer like Adam would fit the bill.
Since Tucker is a town pariah like Adam, that’s another reason for them to join forces.
Although there’s a little bad blood between them, history won’t matter much if Adam and Tucker can help each other get what they’re after.
Adam wants Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) back and would no doubt love some Newman revenge despite his attempt to move on.
Now that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is trying to steal Sally’s heart, it may flip the vengeful switch in Adam again and put him on a sinister path.
Tucker claims to be reformed, but his behavior behind closed doors tells a different story.
This could build to a situation where Tucker makes some daring moves and targets many old enemies.
One of those old enemies could easily be Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), so Adam may jump at the chance to plot against him.
Tucker wants to reunite with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), but he’s got some other agendas that’ll come to light as time goes on.
Since Adam works at Jabot, he might be in a position to replace Diane as Tucker’s Abbott spy.
That’d mean betraying Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), but Adam would be willing to do that if Tucker could help him achieve his personal goals.
Adam would have better luck than Tucker at keeping up with Newman Enterprises, too. Despite Adam’s attempt to distance himself, he’s still a Newman.
Adam may be an outsider, but he’s certainly less of an outsider than Tucker when it comes to his family business.
There’s the potential for an exciting partnership here, so let’s hope Y&R takes advantage of it.
