The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will inevitably want Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) back after Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) rejection. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be an obstacle to Adam’s family reunion with Chelsea and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), so let’s talk about how things might play out.
For starters, Adam has already been reconnecting with Chelsea lately. There were some powerful “Chadam” moments after Adam realized Chelsea had nearly taken her own life.
Adam will always have a special place in his heart for Chelsea due to their history and the fact that they share a child.
Chelsea and Adam are now committed to making sure Connor is OK following Chelsea’s ordeal.
Adam and Chelsea argued recently about how to handle Connor’s situation at school since he was bullied over his mom’s mental state.
Although Adam had an extreme reaction, it was Chelsea who helped calm him down and offer more realistic solutions.
Adam may eventually determine that he works well as a team with Chelsea.
We could see Adam start dreaming of a Chelsea reunion once Sally rejects him for good in the December 5 episode.
Of course, breakups don’t usually last forever on a soap, so there’s still a chance for Sally and Adam down the road.
The point is Adam will officially surrender and let Sally go for the time being.
That’ll leave Adam without a love interest and without anything to occupy his time. What will Adam do without his Sally pursuit to keep him busy?
This could turn into a Chelsea pursuit instead, especially since Adam thrives on competition.
The fact that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be growing closer to Chelsea and helping her will drive Adam up the wall.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) already hinted that Adam seemed jealous – and maybe he is!
With Sally out of the picture, Adam seems poised to let that jealous side take over.
During the week of December 5-9, Adam will warn Billy to back off Chelsea since he’ll want to be the one who helps her instead.
In Adam’s opinion, he should be the guy Chelsea turns to in times of crisis.
Billy will refuse to take orders from Adam, so this could be a new love triangle with Chelsea at the center of the drama.
