The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will push Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to be a real couple. Chance will insist his wife should choose her “baby daddy” over him, but she’ll struggle to let go of their crumbling marriage.
Y&R fans know Chance was hoping to work things out with Abby when he left that voicemail after staying out all night.
Chance was still willing to tackle their issues at that point, but everything changed in an instant.
Witnessing Abby under the sheets with Devon has seemingly broken her marriage to Chance beyond repair.
Chance confessed that he didn’t see a solution anymore, but Abby will cling to the faint hope that he might cool off and change his mind.
When Abby meets up with her husband again during the week of November 14-18, Chance will reveal a major decision.
After Chance mulls all this over, he’ll determine that there’s only one path forward that makes sense.
Abby will be willing to do whatever it takes to fix their relationship, but Chance won’t think that’s an option.
Instead, Chance will feel like the best thing that could happen is for Abby to be with Devon.
Since Chance admitted he thought Devon and Abby’s romp was inevitable, he may think their couple status is inevitable, too.
Chance won’t want to stand in their way, so he’ll push Abby to choose Devon and put their marriage in the rearview mirror.
Abby will insist Chance is the one she wants, but he won’t really think that’s true.
Chance will rattle off a list of problems as well as reasons why Devon is the more suitable romantic partner.
Devon has been there for all Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) important moments and even came to his rescue as a bone marrow match.
Dominic’s bond with Devon happened instantly, but Chance has struggled to connect with his adopted son.
This may even become a situation where Chance is willing to give up his legal rights and just let Abby, Devon and Dominic be a family without him.
Abby will panic as Chance becomes even more resigned to a life without Abby by his side.
Although Abby won’t want to give up, Chance may take the decision out of her hands.
Whether Abby’s willing to get together with Devon as a couple or not, Chance seems to be leaning in the direction of divorce.
