The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) may panic after Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) faces another near-death experience. Will Abby decide she wants her husband off the force for good?
Abby has always had some trepidation when it comes to Chance getting back to work at the GCPD.
However, Chance’s therapist ultimately thought it’d be good for him as long as he did it in a healthy way.
There have been some bumps in the road, but Chance is finally finding his groove again.
Instead of having an anxiety attack at the first sign of trouble, Chance is finding it easier to keep a cool head and operate on his cop instincts.
Even so, Abby expressed concern as Chance hinted about the danger of his recent case.
There was also some talk about Chance not cut out for the family business.
All of that felt like it could be a setup for Abby to do an about-face and want Chance off the force at some point.
Chance has had far too many near-death experiences as it is, so another one might be the last straw.
Abby needs Chance to stick around so he can be a loving husband and father.
Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) is a big factor here, so Y&R spoilers say Abby’s going to battle growing fears about Chance’s job.
That job is pulling Chance away from his family since he’s devoting extra time to Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) cases, but this danger aspect could be the real deal-breaker for Abby.
If Chance gets injured and lands back in the hospital, it could lead to Abby making a major request of him.
Will Abby push Chance to give up what he loves and take a job in the family business after all?
Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) would surely encourage Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to find a place for Chancellor-Winters if Abby pressured Chance into it.
