The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) Marchetti pitch may flop with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). This could build to a faceoff over their fashion partnership’s future, so let’s talk about all the drama.
Y&R fans know Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) has been quizzing Chelsea about her work with Chloe and their partnership with Fenmore’s.
Now that Jabot is buying Marchetti, Summer sees the potential for a great collaboration with Chloe and Chelsea.
Chelsea’s face lit up once Summer hinted about potentially working together, so she obviously loves the idea.
Once Chelsea eventually pitches this possible collaboration to Chloe, she may expect her to be just as thrilled.
Chelsea will only see the benefits, but Chloe may hit her with some disadvantages.
Perhaps Chloe will still feel like they’re betraying Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) on some level.
Since Lauren was willing to take a gamble on them – even after the way Chelsea once betrayed Lauren and her company – it was a huge deal.
Chloe may feel like Chelsea’s jumping the gun and argue that Lauren will feel snubbed if they move forward with a Marchetti collaboration, which would primarily benefit Jabot.
Even if it’s a separate thing, it would diminish the exclusivity of the line they’re doing for Lauren.
However, Chelsea might see this more as an “everybody wins” scenario since Jabot is already linked to Fenmore’s.
Chelsea will be eager to work with Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), so she’ll no doubt try to get Chloe on her side.
That could be easier said than done, especially if Chloe just doesn’t think it’s the best plan for their brand.
Chloe might contend that Marchetti doesn’t have the same styles and voice concerns since the whole point of this Jabot acquisition is to stop Marchetti from going under!
Regardless, Chelsea and Chloe will have a major disagreement during the week of June 20-24, so that’ll likely tie in with Chelsea’s Marchetti pitch.
Nothing’s set in stone yet, but Chelsea may bring up Summer’s big idea and end up disappointed by Chloe’s lack of enthusiasm.
