The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, December 23, teases that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will have a nightcap with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) at The Glam Club.
After Nick reflects on Christian Newman’s (Alex Wilson) excitement, he’ll suggest there’s nothing like seeing Christmas through the eyes of a child.
Tessa will reveal that she booked a suite as a holiday surprise for Mariah, so they’ll get cozy in their robes later.
Mariah will also give Tessa a special ornament to commemorate their first Christmas as a married couple.
Tessa will suggest adding ornaments could become a tradition and will hope maybe they can add one for their baby’s first Christmas next year.
The next morning, Mariah and Tessa will wake up to realize they’re running late, so they’ll rush over to help Sharon pack holiday delivery boxes.
A pregnant woman will have an accident after skidding on some black ice, so she’ll be shaken up when she seeks help inside Crimson Lights.
Although Sonia will promise she’s OK, she’ll be pretty rattled and will need a tow truck.
Since the roads will be bad due to the snow, Tessa will have trouble getting a tow truck to come over anytime soon.
After introductions are exchanged, Sonia will recognize Tessa for her music and find her whole story inspirational.
Sonia will talk about driving away from her parents since she doesn’t get along with them.
Although Sonia was supposed to finish college and go to grad school, she’ll have doubts about that happening now.
Sonia won’t know if she can be the mother this baby deserves, so it’ll seem like Mariah and Tessa are starting to get their hopes up.
However, Tessa and Mariah will insist it’s a big decision and that Sonia gets to write her own story.
Once Sonia’s water breaks, Y&R spoilers say she’ll experience contractions as she goes into labor.
Mariah will struggle to get an ambulance over there since the roads will be such a disaster.
Sharon will end up calling Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), so she’ll rush over and deliver the baby.
Tessa and Mariah will be right by Sonia’s side as she brings her little girl into the world.
Soon after, the EMT will finally show up and prepare to take Sonia to the hospital along with her newborn.
Sonia will think the universe brought her together with Tessa and Mariah for a reason, so she’ll truly appreciate all their help.
Once Sonia talks about finding strength she didn’t know she had, she’ll feel like she can do anything now that she’s holding her daughter.
That’ll leave Mariah and Tessa disappointed, but they’ll awaken to realize the whole thing was a wild shared dream.
Mariah will worry that it’s an omen and fear they’re not going to get a baby like they want.
Tessa, on the other hand, will think they should look at the positive aspects of the dream and trust that they’ll be “kickass moms.”
From Tessa’s perspective, the dream will be a manifestation of their hopes and fears. Tessa will suggest it means they have to keep the faith, even when there are setbacks.
Mariah and Tessa will seem a little down when they join Sharon and Noah at Crimson Lights – for real this time.
Thankfully, Tessa and Mariah will get some positive updates from the potential birth mother they’re supposed to see after New Year’s.
Delphine will send a sonogram of her baby girl and insist THEY can’t wait to meet.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tessa and Mariah will share a hug over the news as this special Christmas Y&R episode winds down.
