The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, December 9, teases that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will plan a cabin hideout trick, so she’ll fake a goodbye to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Genoa City. Here’s what Y&R viewers can look forward to in Friday’s exciting episode.
At Jabot, Jack will wonder how much it’ll cost for Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) to leave Diane alone.
Jeremy will act like this is between the two of them and will suggest he can work something out with Diane.
After Jack kicks Jeremy out, he’ll admit he’s genuinely worried now that Jeremy has turned down his money.
It’ll prove Jeremy has a score to settle, so Jack will debate some of Diane’s options.
Diane will refuse to enter witness protection, but she’ll have another idea to fool Jeremy temporarily.
Jack will hear Diane’s pitch offscreen and agree it’s perhaps the best choice under the circumstances.
It’ll be decided that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will get Diane settled at the cabin for a while. That way, Jeremy will think Diane has fled and will move on.
Diane will hope that maybe this will get Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) off her back, too.
At Society, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will surprise Ashley by suggesting she’s in over her head with Jeremy.
Although Tucker will think Ashley is entitled to hate Diane, he’ll also think her anger should be redirected at him for sleeping with Diane while they were engaged.
Tucker will urge Ashley to distance herself from Phyllis and Nikki before declaring that Jeremy is trouble.
After Tucker makes another pitch to be together, Ashley will acknowledge his persistence and share a laugh with him.
Tucker will insist he’ll never count himself out and will tell Ashley that they’re meant to be.
At the Abbott house later, Ashley will once again find Diane in Jack’s comforting arms.
After Jack privately says he’s arranged security to take Diane to the hotel and then the cabin, she’ll loudly tell him goodbye.
Diane will put on a big show for Ashley and act like she can’t put the family in jeopardy.
Once Diane is gone, Jack will hope Ashley’s happy since Diane is leaving town.
Since Jack will claim that Diane may never return, he’ll rant about Ashley and her takedown team going too far.
At Society, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will bump into Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and try to appeal to her forgiving heart.
Lily won’t want Nate to rush her on this – and she definitely won’t want him to get pushy with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
Nate will mention that he heard about Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) resigning and heading back to Virginia.
However, Lily will think that’s a family issue that doesn’t concern Nate now.
When Devon arrives, he’ll also indicate that the Amanda’s departure is none of Nate’s business.
After Devon joins Lily at a table, she’ll note that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) wants to move forward with the IPO.
Devon will push for more time to find out what’s going on in Tucker’s head, but he won’t be sure how much time he needs.
Once talk turns to Nate, Lily will admit he wants forgiveness and will ask how Nate’s betrayal is any different than Devon betraying Amanda.
Devon will get irritated and insist they’re completely different situations.
At the Chancellor mansion, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will tell Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) that he moved the last of his stuff out.
After sharing a sweet moment with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) and working out the visitation schedule, Chance will start to leave.
Abby will call out to say she’s so sorry and will ask if Chance can believe that.
Chance will admit he’s sorry too, but he’ll run down the list of all the ways their marriage went wrong.
What happened with Devon was just the breaking point on a relationship that was doomed from the beginning.
Abby won’t want Chance to diminish the love they had and still have under the surface, but he’ll acknowledge that he’s disconnected from those feelings.
Now that Chance has accepted their marriage is over, he’ll hope Abby can accept that as well and move on.
Afterward, Chance will seem glum at Crimson Lights, so Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will get updates on him moving out of the house.
Although Chance will be sad, he’ll also feel a sense of relief.
Chance won’t be ready to open up beyond that, but Sharon will let him know she’s there when he wants to talk more.
Meanwhile, Abby will spot Devon at Society and fill him in on Chance moving out.
Once Abby cries over her relationship really being over, she’ll accept Devon’s embrace.
Outside Diane’s hotel suite, she’ll blame Tucker for his role in driving her out of town and will slap him when he offers money for a fresh start. Diane will warn that Tucker will never win Ashley back or outsmart Jack.
Although Diane will be tempted to call Devon and warn him not to trust Tucker, she won’t think it’ll matter since all Tucker’s plans will fail epically.
Once Diane steps inside her room, she’ll pack up her belongings and look somber over her old family photo with Jack and Kyle.
As he drinks at the Abbott house, Jack will look deep in thought over a Diane and Kyle pic on his phone.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will make some bold moves to deal with Jeremy soon, so stay tuned!
