The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, September 30, teases that Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) big reveal plan will take shape while Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) suspects Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) are getting too close.
After Tucker shows up at Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) suite, she’ll be all glammed up for the vow renewal and will insist he’s back at the worst possible time.
If the Abbotts get one whiff of Diane’s connection to Tucker, she’ll snap that it’s over for her.
Tucker will point out that he gave Diane the key and made this chance at redemption possible.
Once Tucker pushes for a little more respect, Diane will contend that she’s just asking for more time.
However, Tucker will declare that today is the perfect day to make his presence known to the Abbotts.
After Tucker assures Diane that he won’t blow her cover and reveal their connection, he’ll urge her to trust him.
At the Abbott house, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will help Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) get ready for her do-over wedding.
Summer will hope there are no distractions, so Phyllis will offer reassurance about getting along with Diane.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will also help Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) with his cufflinks and hint about Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) doing a very important job today.
At the Newman ranch, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will remain uneasy about Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) scheme with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), but Victoria and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will think the reward is worth the risk.
As for the vow renewal, Victor won’t want to attend a party held by Jack and will have to take care of a meeting in Chicago anyway.
Once Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) drops Summer’s dress off, she’ll meet up with Victor to discuss what she learned in Los Angeles.
Nikki will talk about Diane living a far more luxurious life than she let on and will mention the mystery man Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) saw in a Bentley with her.
It turns out Deacon gave Nikki a photo of the car, so she was able to see the license plate number.
Nikki will explain that this car is owned by Private Image Limited, which is based in London and has a branch in LA.
Their business is entertainment and art related, but that’s all Nikki will know.
Victor will be impressed with everything Nikki’s discovered and will vow to have his people dig into it further.
According to Nikki, the important thing will be that it shows Diane is clearly hiding something.
Back at the Abbott house, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will ask about the officiant, so Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will admit they all asked to do it.
Kyle and Summer instructed them to sort it out for themselves, so they’ll later reveal that all three of them are serving as the officiants.
After Diane greets Kyle, she’ll step outside with Jack and once again apologize for overstepping with the kiss. Jack will assure Diane that everything is fine before Phyllis appears.
In a moment alone with Diane, Phyllis will relay Summer’s concerns about a blowup between them.
Nevertheless, Diane and Phyllis will agree that their kids’ big day comes first.
As for some guests who won’t be able to make it, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will be stuck in Paris.
Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will also have to stay home due to sick Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).
At Crimson Lights, Devon will run into Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and have an awkward conversation with her.
Elena will hint about Nate being a different person since he joined the corporate world and will accidentally drop her hotel room keycard.
Devon will pick it up for Elena and realize she’s staying at a hotel, but she’ll rush off to avoid getting into the details.
At Society, Nate will bump into Audra and join her since she’ll want some GC nightlife tips.
After Nate recommends the new club in town, Audra will think they could go together sometime.
Nate and Audra will enjoy some flirty banter, but he’ll ultimately reveal that he can’t go and will explain that he’s in a relationship.
When Devon spots Nate and Audra at a table together, he’ll greet them and seem suspicious of their growing bond.
Nate will suggest he hasn’t been much help with tips for the night scene, but Audra will argue that he can’t work 24 hours a day.
After Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) heads to the vow renewal, Lily will stay behind to catch up on work at Chancellor-Winters.
That’ll give Devon a chance to talk to Lily about Nate and Audra spending a lot of time together.
Devon will also mention that Elena is staying at a hotel, so he’ll be worried since Elena has been Nate’s voice of reason.
With the IPO happening, Devon will act like it’s crucial for Nate to have Elena’s support. Lily, on the other hand, will think Devon needs to have some faith in Nate.
After Lily steps out, Audra and Nate will find Devon at the office. Nate will suggest dropping the IPO price a bit – say around five percent.
Although Nate will think they could create a feeding frenzy, Devon won’t see the need for this drop.
Audra will agree with Devon since the price is already at its sweet spot. They don’t need to give the impression that it’s some sort of “bargain basement stock.”
Once Audra leaves the room, Devon will ask how things are going with Elena.
Nate will admit that Elena’s been upset with him, but he’ll assure Devon that they’re working things out.
Back at the Abbott house, Nick will express how proud he is of Summer. After Nick gives Summer an “S” bracelet, he’ll insist it’s for Supergirl instead of Summer.
Billy, Victoria and Nikki will all arrive for the vow renewal, so Phyllis will pull Nikki aside.
Nikki will tell Phyllis that she’s got proof Diane’s been lying about her time in LA. According to Nikki, a reckoning will be coming.
Once everyone gathers in the backyard, Harrison will walk Summer down the aisle. Noah, Mariah and Tessa will kick off the ceremony as Kyle and Summer join hands.
Elsewhere, Tucker will flip through pictures of the Abbotts on his tablet and look pensive.
