The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) could be gearing up for a fast marriage proposal. Will Jack stun Phyllis with an engagement ring soon?
Although Phyllis and Jack have agreed to let their relationship evolve at their own pace, that pace could turn out to be a speedy one.
After all, Y&R writers had Jack catch the bouquet and left Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) with questions about Jack’s many marriages.
Jack figured he’d probably walked down the aisle for the last time, but Phyllis wasn’t so sure about that.
After Phyllis gave Jack some hope for the future, their relationship shifted rapidly and led to Phyllis landing in bed with him.
Now it’s obvious that Phyllis and Jack are really loving how things have progressed. Phyllis suggested that this feels right – and Jack no doubt agrees.
Jack’s got a goofy grin on his face everywhere he goes, so this is a guy who’s madly in love and is finally with the woman he wants.
Between the bouquet catch and all the marriage talk, there’s more than enough evidence to suggest that Jack and Phyllis are headed for an engagement.
It’s just a matter of how soon it’ll happen – and it could be awfully quick since Jack is so smitten.
At this point in his life, Jack is done wasting time.
It’s easy to imagine Jack deciding he knows in his heart that Phyllis is “the one” and moving forward with a marriage proposal in the next few months.
Jack might even have a custom engagement ring made for Phyllis using the “teardrop of love” emerald.
Since Jack is such a romantic guy who falls fast and hard, this reunion could lead him toward wedding plans sooner rather than later.
That’s especially true if Jack wants to shut Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) up and do something bold to prove his relationship is legit.
Jack may pop the question and hope Phyllis will agree to become his wife – partly for love and partly to show Diane they’re in this for the long haul.
Will Phyllis accept Jack’s engagement ring if he offers one? Will Phyllis flaunt it in Diane’s face and plan on a remarriage?
