The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may ban Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) from Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) over her Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) trap. Kyle could easily retaliate after an attack on his mom, so let’s talk about Phyllis’ terrible plan and how she might get busted.
Phyllis will hope to pull off an inside job by scoring a Marchetti job and setting Diane up.
The goal will be to make it look like Diane is intentionally sabotaging the company.
Of course, this seems like a bad idea on so many levels.
For starters, why on earth would Diane want to sabotage Marchetti when things are going so well for her?
Diane’s wildest dreams are coming true, so it’s just tough to see how anyone would think she’d have a motive.
That’s going to look suspicious and will no doubt make Kyle want to investigate further – potentially pointing the finger straight at Phyllis once someone digs for answers.
Plus, there’s a chance Phyllis will lose control of this plot and actually sabotage Marchetti herself.
No matter how careful Phyllis thinks she can be, it just feels like a situation that could go horribly wrong.
That brings us to Kyle and Phyllis’ contentious relationship.
Things have taken a very tense turn between Kyle and his mother-in-law lately, so the show may be laying the groundwork for his biggest blowup with Phyllis yet.
Kyle ultimately realized Phyllis’ truce with Diane wasn’t legit and warned her about targeting his mother.
Since Kyle made it clear he won’t hesitate to protect Diane, there’ll have to be consequences when Phyllis actively tries to push her out of his life based on a lie.
Once Kyle found out Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) was a lying schemer, he banned Ashland from Harrison.
Phyllis could earn herself a similar fate over this beyond awful Diane scheme, which seems doomed from the get-go.
The Harrison angle makes sense considering it’s the one issue that might cause a major fight for Kyle and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier).
Even if Summer agrees Phyllis went too far, she might object to Kyle cutting her off from Harrison in the aftermath.
It sounds like Phyllis could launch some “Skyle” conflict and put Kyle’s marriage to Summer in jeopardy depending on how bad the fallout is.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle may bust Phyllis and make her pay for this Diane trap, so stay tuned.
