The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, August 15 – Devon’s Past Comes Back to Haunt – Nate’s Defiance Brings Faceoff

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, August 15, tease that Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) punch will come back to haunt after Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) defiance brings a faceoff.

Y&R fans know Nate has been making some mistakes at Chancellor-Winters, but he’s offered simple solutions. From Nate’s perspective, Devon is blowing things out of proportion and being too dismissive of his work.

It’s clear that Devon’s mentor idea didn’t go over well – and Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) keeps acting like Devon doesn’t value what Nate brings to the table. That’s why Nate will be quite smug when he spars with Devon the next time around.

At Crimson Lights, Devon will find some other reason to lash out at Nate. That could involve the financial incentive Nate gave Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to get Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) out of her contract.

If Nate made an unauthorized offer that was way too high, that could certainly give Devon a motive to complain. Nate will be sick of all this micromanaging and will gripe about always having to play by Devon’s rules.

However, Devon will think that’s logical considering he’s the boss. Nate is the COO, so he reports to Devon and has to follow orders. Devon will feel like it’s a simple concept that Nate just can’t seem to understand.

Nate will eventually comment on Devon’s rising temper and will wonder if his cousin’s going to punch him again. That’ll take both of them back to that fateful night when Devon found out about Elena and Nate’s hookup.

Devon was so furious that he decked Nate, who cut his hand when he tumbled. That injury is why Nate even had to head down a new career path, so he may bring that to Devon’s attention.

Nate and Devon will bicker about the past, present and even the future. It’s clear that they can’t go on like this, so Devon may consider firing Nate – though Nate could threaten to quit before that happens.

Whatever the case, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will urge Devon and Nate to make peace at some point in the coming episodes. That’s good news Devon and Nate could use all the help they can get!

The Ashland investigation will also take a shocking turn soon, so look for Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) to find a new lead that could change everything. That discovery will be made known to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) early during the week of August 15-19.
