The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, July 11, teases that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will block Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) visit while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) records a cancer scam podcast. Here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.
After Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) makes a special flower delivery in honor of Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) return, he’ll tell his sister that he’s also making a Newman comeback. Victoria will be elated as she offers Nick the COO spot.
After Victoria explains her plan to expose Ashland’s cancer con through Billy’s anonymous podcast, Nick will fear that she’s underestimating her ex.
Despite Nick’s belief that Ashland could fight back in an unexpected way, Victoria will think she’s got the situation under control.
At Society, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will let Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) know she’s got a new investigator digging into what Diane did in Los Angeles.
After Nikki exits, Michael will share some news with Victor about Ashland’s whereabouts.
The Newman spy following Ashland lost track of him in Chicago, so Michael and Victor won’t know if he’s still there or perhaps in Genoa City.
Regardless, Victor will have a plan to take care of their Ashland problem and will think Michael’s the right person for the job.
In the park, Diane will chat with Harrison as they enjoy some ice cream cones.
Harrison will dash off to play with his pals nearby, so Ashland will approach Diane after spying on her visit with the boy.
Diane will flip out since the restraining order says Ashland isn’t supposed to be anywhere near Harrison.
Although Ashland will realize that, he’ll desperately want to see his son and will insist he can tell Harrison to keep quiet.
Diane will still worry about this getting back to Kyle and will refuse to jeopardize a relationship that’s already fragile, so Ashland won’t get his wish.
At Newman Media, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will tell Sally that she should be thinking big picture and will question her about her COO plans.
Sally will insist she’d understand if Adam wanted the CEO spot back, but he’ll confirm that he wants her to stay in the role.
Although Sally will worry about Adam seeking revenge and inviting blowback, he won’t care.
The idea of getting even will appeal to Adam, but Victor will overhear his potential payback plans and ask if that’s really how Adam feels.
Once Adam and Victor are alone, they’ll have a fraught discussion about whether Adam is respected in the family.
Victor will rehash Adam’s damaging history, including when he wanted to kill his dad.
Although Victor will try to convince Adam that he could make his mark through Newman Media, Adam won’t think anything will ever change.
After Adam declares that he’s out, Victor will warn that his son will break his father’s heart if he does this.
Later, Adam will tell Sally that he quit, so she’ll consider quitting along with him.
Sally will find it tough to believe Victoria and Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) father will want her to remain in charge at Newman Media.
Sally will stand by Adam if walking away is the right move for him, but she’ll know Ashland is about to cause drama.
Adam will warn that things are indeed about to get ugly, so he’ll push Sally to be prepared and watch her back.
At Crimson Lights, Michael will quiz Diane about whether she has to take a chaperone during her outings with Harrison.
Diane will eventually realize Victor wants to set a trap and cause Ashland to violate the restraining order, which could put him behind bars.
However, Diane will act like that’s despicable and won’t think “Skyle” would be on board at all.
When Diane admits Ashland is in town and already tried to see Harrison, she’ll assume Michael has missed his window of opportunity anyway.
Back at Newman Enterprises, Victoria will break out the Champagne and sparkling cider for a family celebration.
After Victoria learns Adam quit, she’ll decide to figure out the Sally situation later and just focus on the Newman team coming together for now.
It’ll take some work, but Billy will get Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) on board with the revealing podcast Victoria asked for.
As long as Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) puts them in the clear legally, Lily will decide Billy can go for it.
Billy will eventually take the mic on The Grinning Soul and slam Ashland for his fake cancer scam.
The podcast will be all about the rise and fall of Ashland Locke aka “The Locke-ness Monster,” who pretended he was dying.
Once Ashland blows in his hotel room and grumbles about being blocked from Harrison, he’ll receive a link to the podcast in a text message.
A curious Ashland will realize more trouble awaits, but he may not realize just how much!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland’s downfall will continue, so we’ll see if he can strike back.
