The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Rey Arrests Nick After Ashland’s Body Found – Sharon Defends Ex’s Innocence?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) may arrest Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) after Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) body is found. Sharon might end up in a position where she has to defend her ex’s innocence, so let’s talk about what Y&R could have in store.

Based on the March 29 episode, it’s easy to see the pieces coming together for a potential murder mystery – including Nick’s vow to get rid of Ashland on his own if need be.

Nick has been vocal about his distrust of Ashland and is making himself a prime murder suspect ahead of a possible deadly shocker.

There’s this “get rid of Ashland” line that everyone keeps repeating, which suggests that someone will indeed eliminate Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) husband.

Of course, the incompetent cops at the GCPD never get it right on the first try!

Rey has a habit of focusing on the wrong suspect, so it could be Nick this time around.

Sharon has been strengthening her bond with Nick lately, but her marriage to Rey seems to be developing some cracks.

It’s clear that Rey feels on the outside of Sharon’s family and may even be a bit jealous of her closeness with Nick.

Sharon defended Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) when he was wrongfully accused of Rey’s attempted murder.

Now Sharon may have to defend Nick against Ashland’s actual murder – and that could lead to more marriage trouble.

Right or wrong, Rey may be offended over Sharon constantly rushing to her exes’ defense.

If all the evidence points to Nick – at least early on – Rey may think Sharon is letting her past with her former flame cloud her judgment.

This is the kind of thing that could cause a huge fight and tear apart Sharon’s relationship with Rey.

Sharon certainly won’t approve if she has to watch Rey slap the handcuffs on Nick and haul him down to the police station.

Bottom line, a murder mystery seems to be brewing – and Nick has admitted he’s willing to get rid of Ashland himself.

That puts Nick on the suspect list and makes it likely that Rey will arrest him down the road.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland could be a dead man walking, so stay tuned to the CBS soap.
