The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sean Kanan is open to Deacon Sharpe’s Y&R return on one condition, so let’s talk about The Bold and the Beautiful star’s only catch.
In an interview with Soaps.com, Kanan discussed all the recent Deacon talk in Genoa City.
There’s certainly been plenty of it now that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is back from the “dead.”
Deacon played a crucial role in helping Diane fake her demise, so that brought some outrage from people like Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Since Deacon’s part in all this has been mentioned repeatedly, it feels like the prime opportunity for a crossover.
Deacon could easily slide into this storyline and face some backlash over his actions all those years ago.
When asked about the possibility of Deacon’s return to GC, Kanan insisted he’d be down for it.
There’s just one condition – and it involves Kanan’s great love for his current soap home.
Kanan adores working at The Bold and the Beautiful, so he’s not willing to trade his role on B&B for one at Y&R.
A crossover for a couple episodes is one thing, but Kanan doesn’t want to soap hop for good!
Kanan’s condition would be to appear in Genoa City briefly and head right back to The Bold and the Beautiful, which sounds reasonable under the circumstances.
Deacon wouldn’t be needed for long in GC, so he could just pop up, have some fun and resume his usual drama in B&B’s fictional version of Los Angeles.
That would line up with other crossover events that have already happened – like when Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) came to town for a short business-related visit.
Deacon has some unfinished business of his own since no one’s been able to confront him for his part in Diane’s faux death.
