The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) could be gearing up for a fashion career change. Will Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) ask Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) to distract the grieving widow with a new job?
Before all the deadly Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) drama went down, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) approached Sharon at one point and brought up her days at Restless Style.
That led to a conversation about whether Sharon missed having a career in fashion.
Sharon assured Sally that she was content since she has a master’s degree in psychology and also runs the coffeehouse.
However, that was before Sharon faced the crushing loss of her beloved husband and was suddenly set adrift.
Now Sharon’s world has been turned upside down – and that could leave her wanting to make some big changes to her life.
Of course, Sharon was also part of Chelsea 2.0 once upon a time, so it wouldn’t be way out of left field for her to get back in the fashion game.
This seems like the perfect time since Summer wants Jabot to buy Marchetti and will be looking to build up the team.
Summer has already been hinting about Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) talent being in high demand.
It’s not like Y&R uses Sharon much for therapy sessions anyway.
Sharon mostly just counsels Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) occasionally and makes other therapist recommendations to people like Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
The show recently decided Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was more useful in the business realm than as a doctor, so they let him shift gears in his career.
Could Sharon be next in line, especially since she’s going through a period of emotional upheaval and has room to grow?
In a recent issue of SOD, Sharon Case hinted that “maybe Sharon will decide to change her life or career, be a big badass and just drive in a new direction.”
Case was quick to clarify that she didn’t know what the future held, but she did include that as an exciting possibility among others.
Nick could easily see that Sharon’s struggling and in need of a new path to head down.
Perhaps Nick could convince Summer to bring Sharon on board in some capacity at Marchetti once Jabot acquires it.
Whatever the case, Sharon will need something to latch onto as she copes without Rey.
A career change might be the perfect thing for Sharon following the tragedy.
