The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (last played by Hunter King) and Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) war could be back on. Once the Summer recast debuts, it could lead to a reignited feud with her old foe.
Y&R plans to bring on a new actress in the part of Summer and put her back on canvas full-time.
Of course, that’ll bring plenty of story opportunities and chances for more drama.
It seems likely that Sally and Summer’s feud will come back around at some point.
After all, Sally and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) battle seems to have wound down for now.
Chelsea is more interested in Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) than Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) these days, so there’s no reason for her to have explosive sparring sessions with Sally.
That doesn’t mean Sally and Chelsea will suddenly start getting along, but it does mean there’s no need for daily clashing.
Chelsea and Sally aren’t even working together now, so the show has backed off their rivalry – leaving Sally without a major enemy to go up against.
Naturally, Sally is always going to have naysayers like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to battle.
Sally also faced criticism from Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle), but Sally is a fierce character who could use someone to have soapy catfights with.
Y&R may bring back Summer and Sally’s feud as a result – especially if Summer decides to rejoin the Newman family business.
Adam has his eye on the throne at Newman-Locke and may push for Sally to take over as COO if he can score the CEO spot.
Summer might have a big problem with Sally swooping in and reaping all kinds of benefits now that she’s dating Adam.
Although Summer has decided to live and let live when it comes to Sally, that’s perhaps only because she’s living all the way in Italy.
Once Summer is back in Genoa City, that could be a game-changer when it comes to her war with Sally.
The fighting could start up again and bring quite the feud to entertain fans.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer’s return in recast form could make waves and lead to huge issues for Sally.
