The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, August 2 Recap – Ashland’s Autopsy Revealed – Victor Threatens Nosy Adam

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 2, teases that Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) autopsy report will be revealed while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) threatens nosy Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Here’s what Y&R viewers can expect as the Ashland case heats up.

At Crimson Lights, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will fill Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) in on the complicated Ashland investigation and urge him to butter up the medical examiner.

That way, they can get their hands on the autopsy faster and analyze the data.

At Society, Victor will get good news over the phone.

Since things went smoothly when the security team was interviewed by the cops, Victor will seem satisfied for now.

Adam will arrive just before Victor hangs up, but Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will speak with Victor first.

That’ll bring a discussion about Noah’s nightclub proposal, but Victor will gently reject the idea since he wants to keep Top of the Tower as a fully functioning restaurant.

Afterward, Noah will meet up with Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) on the GCAC rooftop.

Once Noah admits Victor turned him down, Allie will offer a reminder about the space Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) suggested at The Grand Phoenix.

Noah will eventually get a news alert about Ashland’s death and wonder why Victor didn’t mention it during their earlier conversation.

That’ll leave Noah suspicious and concerned since he knows how Victor operates.

Noah will end up telling Allie about the time Victor orchestrated a hostile takeover of Jabot.

Since it’s only a matter of time until Victor is upset with the Abbotts again, Noah will think Allie could get caught in the crossfire.

Nevertheless, Allie will contend that she doesn’t scare easily and won’t want to run away from Noah when things are just getting good between them.

As Noah and Allie grow closer, they’ll share another kiss.

Back with Adam, he’ll approach Victor’s table and mention his run-in with Chance, who suggested he should skip his Vegas trip and stay in town for family support.

Adam will note that Chance hinted about the car crash being the “official version” – leading to questions about whether there might’ve been another end to Ashland’s story.

After Adam mentions Victor getting a happy ending, he’ll sarcastically guess that was just a crazy coincidence.

“You’re beginning to piss me off – and that is never a good idea,” Victor will reply.

Adam will point out that Ashland is dead, so that means the threat is gone. Since Victor isn’t acting like it, that’ll leave Adam curious.

However, Victor will warn that Adam is a Newman and that he’d do well to remember it.

After Victor saunters out, Adam will gaze out the window at him pensively.

At Newman Enterprises, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will remain haunted by the night of Ashland’s death.

Once Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) shows up, she’ll let Nick know she changed her mind and will remain as Newman Media’s CEO.

Sally will thank Nick for being candid before, but he’ll think he owes her an apology for being so blunt.

After Sally gets a notification about Ashland’s death, she’ll start pumping Nick for details.

Sally will wonder how Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is doing, so Nick will admit she’s on a trip with the kids – causing Sally to look taken aback.

Nick will counter that the trip was planned weeks ago and call Sally out for insinuating something with her eyes.

As for the story of Ashland’s death, Nick won’t think Newman Media should dig too far into it out of respect for Victoria’s privacy.

After Nick admits it’s complicated, he’ll tell Sally “off the record” that he had a confrontation with Ashland before he died.

Sally will want to be there for Nick since he was there for her too, but he’ll get a text from Chance about meeting up.

Nick will give Sally a nudge to exit, but he’ll approve of her staying at Newman Media.

Sally will assure Nick that she’ll stick to reporting the facts when it comes to Ashland, so he’ll be glad to know he can count on her.

After Sally steps outside the office, she’ll seem deep in thought.

On the coffeehouse patio, Chance will give Nick updates and mention how the security team members’ stories lined up to the letter – almost like they were reading from a script.

It’ll be a red flag for Chance since Victor’s employees spoke so carefully, but Nick will brush it off.

Nick will also complain about Ashland still causing chaos for his family, even in death.

Chance will argue that he just wants to cut through that chaos, but Nick will act like Victor’s the one he needs to be consulting with.

Later, Kevin will return after successfully speeding the autopsy report along.

Chance will look at a copy on his phone and see that Ashland died of blunt force trauma to the head.

The report will also note that Ashland wasn’t wearing his seatbelt and pitched forward into the windshield.

Chance will read that the blow delivered enough force that death would’ve been instantaneous.

Once Chance mulls it over, he’ll ask if the medical examiner could tell definitively if the fatal injury was caused by the crash impact.

Kevin will admit he pressed her on that – and while the medical examiner said it was a possibility, she wouldn’t go as far as saying that’s definitely what happened.

After Chance insists he doesn’t have an agenda, he’ll talk about trying to evaluate the evidence and come to the correct conclusion.

That’ll lead to Chance recapping the story of Nick’s fight with Ashland, who hit his head on the fireplace after Nick’s punch.

“So that’s your theory? That Nick threw the punch that killed Locke?” Kevin will ask.

“And if he did, how the hell did that guy wind up dead in a ravine?” Chance will reply.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance will keep working to uncover all the facts of the case, so don’t miss what’s in store.
