The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, May 17, tease that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will come home to a surprise while Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) mission is accomplished. Some fantastic Y&R scenes are on the way as the wedding fun continues, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
Due to a delayed flight, Summer won’t make it back early enough to actually watch Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) tie the knot. Nevertheless, the nuptials will move forward as Kyle leads Tessa and Mariah through some heartfelt vows.
This will be Kyle’s first time officiating a wedding after getting ordained at Mariah’s request. Mariah was counting on Kyle to grant this wish and make her ceremony extra special, so that’s exactly what he’ll do.
It’ll mean a lot to “Teriah” that Kyle was willing to go the extra mile for them. Once Mariah and Tessa finish all their forever promises, they’ll seal their love with a kiss and hit the afterparty as wives.
Meanwhile, Summer’s plane will finally touch down, so she’ll head to the Abbott house to freshen up and go ‘70s glam for the reception.
When Summer comes through the door, she’ll be taken aback to find Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) – though she’ll quickly realize this must be Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) granddaughter.
Summer will introduce herself as Kyle’s wife and perhaps admit she’s running late for a wedding. Allie may urge Summer to pass along her congratulations to the blissful couple, but Summer might think Allie should just come along and deliver the well wishes in person.
Mariah and Tessa wouldn’t mind at all – and it’d keep Allie from sitting home alone when she obviously came to Genoa City to escape the loneliness of Los Angeles.
Maybe Summer will help Allie find something to wear and make sure she doesn’t feel too out of place. Regardless, Summer and Allie will both land at the afterparty we mentioned.
Once it’s time for the bouquet toss, Jack will end up catching it in a cute moment. Between that and watching Allie have a blast, Jack will be a happy camper.
