The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may bust Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) for his Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) reunion plot. Will Victor end up furious over his son’s selfish betrayal?
In Y&R’s May 12 episode, Adam pitches his big idea to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and gets her support.
The goal is to push Ashland and Victoria back together without it being obvious what they’re up to.
That way, Ashland will either pull Victoria away from the company or Victor will be so livid he kicks Victoria out himself.
Adam is hoping that if Victoria reunites with Ashland, it’ll finally make Victor question her judgment and allow him to run the Newman empire instead.
Of course, there are so many ways this scheme could go wrong. For starters, there’s no guarantee that Adam’s plan would have the desired result.
Even if Ashland wins Victoria back, that might not be enough to get her thrown off the Newman throne.
That’s especially true now that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is Victoria’s co-CEO.
Nikki can actually understand Victoria’s torn heart on some level and would inevitably fight for her daughter to stay in power with her.
If Victoria did manage to walk away or get herself fired, Victor could just leave Newman Enterprises solely in Nikki’s capable hands.
However, there’s a far worse potential outcome – and that involves Victor figuring out what Adam and Sally are doing.
If the great Victor Newman doesn’t catch on here, something’s seriously wrong!
Victor tends to be written as the kind of guy who sees and knows all.
It’d be a mistake to make Victor look dumb by having him miss this blatant matchmaking effort.
No matter how subtle Sally and Adam think they’re being, it just seems like they’re going to get caught.
It’s easy to see why that would enrage Victor, especially after Adam talked him into paying $500 million to get rid of Ashland.
Now Adam is scheming to reignite Ashland’s romance with Victoria, which could give Ashland the one thing he wants and make it even hard to shake him.
Adam will cause a serious setback in the trust department if Victor busts him. This will look like the selfish betrayal that it is and could backfire spectacularly.
How can Victor trust Adam to put the company and family’s needs first when he’s doing things behind Victor’s back that’ll benefit him and his ride-or-die redhead?
Adam and Sally could land themselves in major trouble if they aren’t careful, so we’ll pass along updates as other news comes in.
