The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may surrender to a forbidden Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) romance. Will Victoria cave in and keep it a secret from the disapproving Newmans?
Victoria is doing her best to convince everyone that she’s putting Ashland in the rearview mirror.
Ashland hurt Victoria deeply with his cancer scam, so she’s trying to find a way forward.
However, that’ll prove increasingly difficult since Ashland’s so determined to win Victoria back.
Ashland saved Victoria from that burning car and risked his own life in the process.
It’s clear that Ashland is telling the truth when he insists his feelings for Victoria are genuine.
Ashland walked away from Newman-Locke, which is dropping the Locke and reverting to Newman Enterprises.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will never let Ashland anywhere near the company at this point, so this isn’t about power for Ashland anymore.
Even the money doesn’t matter much since Ashland is willing to give $250 million of it to New Hope.
Victoria is trying to stay strong, but she misses Ashland and the life they used to share.
The more Ashland chips away at Victoria’s resolve with charitable acts and loving gestures, the harder it’ll be for Victoria to resist him.
This storyline seems like the perfect setup for Victoria to get romantically involved with Ashland and keep it under wraps.
Victoria certainly doesn’t want to face more backlash or put her leadership role at Newman in jeopardy.
At the same time, the heart wants what it wants. Victoria may not be able to stay away from Ashland either, so what’s she going to do?
We could see Victoria start meeting up with Ashland for a secret rendezvous here and there.
Perhaps this could turn into quite the forbidden romance since Victor and everyone else in Victoria’s life is so firmly against it.
Of course, Victoria may not be sure this could ever turn into anything more than a reunion behind closed doors.
The problem is that people tend to snoop on Y&R – especially people like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), who’s developed quite the reputation for spying.
It’s easy to imagine Sally scoring proof that Victoria is still involved with Ashland – and that’s the kind of thing that could give Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) some serious leverage.
Adam could blackmail Victoria or just take the reunion info straight to Victor, who might throw Victoria right off the throne for her poor judgment.
Whatever the case, there’s the potential for some great drama if Victoria surrenders to temptation and decides she just can’t stay away from Ashland.
