The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 24, tease that Lucas (Aaron Schwartz) will debut as Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) mystery helper while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) plays defense. Here’s what Y&R fans can expect as several storylines heat up.
First, Adam will realize he needs to switch tactics. When Kevin refuses to turn against Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) to save himself, Adam will hope to expose the cover-up truth another way.
It looks like that’s why Adam will summon a mysterious man named Lucas to Genoa City.
Lucas might have some hacking skills that’ll prove useful and help Adam access everything there is to know about the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) case.
At some point this week, August 22 – 26, Kevin will realize Adam has gained the advantage.
That’ll send Kevin over to Adam’s hotel suite, where he’ll bang on the door and try to stop him from doing major damage.
In the meantime, Victor will play defense with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and argue that dropping the investigation was the right call.
From where Victor’s standing, Chance is the one who needs to understand protecting your family is the most important thing.
While Victor defends his cover-up to Chance, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will try to focus on the future.
It sounds like Nick will embrace Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) vision for Newman Enterprises and concentrate on his role as COO.
Victor will ultimately celebrate putting Ashland in the rearview mirror, but Adam clearly plans to stir up more trouble.
When it comes to the Newmans, there’s no such thing as putting the drama to rest!
Speaking of drama, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will fear Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is inviting more into her life.
After Chloe accuses Chelsea of falling for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), she won’t buy Chelsea’s denial and will try to stop this immediately.
Chloe may worry that Chelsea has swapped Billy for Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) when it comes to using an emotional crutch.
Since Billy has become Chelsea’s new lifeline, that’s made it easy for her to feel attracted to him.
Chelsea will act like they’re just friends who really get each other, but Chloe will warn her bestie to be careful – especially since Billy is in a committed relationship with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
Since Chelsea will plant a kiss on Billy later this week, she’s obviously going to ignore Chloe’s warning!
