The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, March 16 Recap – Sally Exposes Private Newman Info – Victor Gets Smoking Gun

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 16, reveals that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will inadvertently expose private Newman info while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) gets a smoking gun to use against Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).

In Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) office, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will sense his sister’s doubts about Ashland and wonder if something happened to change her mind.

Victoria will be wary of giving Nick more ammunition to use against Ashland, especially since Nick hates the guy.

Nevertheless, Nick will insist he’s just there to listen, so Victoria will rehash everything that’s happened and try to make sense of it all.

At Society, Ashland will act like Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) evidence is nothing and will warn him to think long and hard before he does anything rash.

Nate will ask if Ashland’s threatening him, but Ashland will suggest he just wants Nate to consider the ramifications of his actions.

Ashland will claim he hates to see Nate buying into the smear campaign, but Nate will argue that it’s something far worse.

After Nate rants about the levels of manipulation, he’ll lash out over Ashland using their friendship as part of the scam.

Ashland will insist he wasn’t conning Nate, but there won’t be anything he can say to convince Nate of a setup.

Once Ashland decides they’re done here, he’ll vow to prove his innocence and make Nate wish he’d never doubted him.

Nate will warn Ashland that it’s time to come clean.

If Ashland refuses to tell Victoria and Victor the truth, Nate will plan to spill the evidence involving the chest X-ray and the lack of chemo treatments.

Afterward, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will meet up with Nate at Society’s bar and reel over the news of Ashland’s fake cancer.

It’ll be tough for Elena to wrap her head around Ashland’s scope of deception, but she’ll think Nate has to take what he knows to the Newmans.

At Newman Media, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will continue to blame Victoria for letting the shark in, but Victor will act like they’ve all been fooled by love at times.

Victor will remind Adam that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) accused him of attempted murder, but Adam will think that’s different.

Adam will note that he walked away from Chelsea when he realized her scheme – plus, Chelsea was never a threat to the family business.

Victor still won’t like all the finger pointing and will urge Adam to stop.

Adam will shift gears and talk about needing “a backup plan to the backup plan.”

Adam will want to leak the story of Ashland’s scam to the press and let the negative publicity drive him away.

Victor won’t want to humiliate Victoria and will argue that it’d bring embarrassment to the company as well.

Furthermore, Victor will act like Victoria would never forgive them if she found out her own family was responsible for the leaks.

Victor will want another strategy to deal with Ashland, so Adam will “guess that murder it out of the question then.”

Adam will admit it was a bad joke, but Victor will just hope and pray that Nick can get through to Victoria.

When Sally shows up at Crimson Lights, she’ll convince Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) to have coffee with her and discuss Adam.

Sally will want more insight into how Adam’s mind works so that she can be the best COO she can possibly be.

Sharon will fish to find out more about Sally’s personal relationship with Adam, but Sally won’t think that’s relevant here.

Sally will mostly be concerned about Adam making decisions based on pleasing Victor instead of himself.

Sharon will admit there are two things Adam needs more than anything else: committed love from his father and a feeling of harmony with him.

Sally will fear that harmony isn’t possible and will suggest she’s trying to break Adam free of his Achilles’ heel.

On the patio, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will be distracted during her business meeting with Chelsea and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson).

Talk will turn to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and how Lauren still hasn’t heard a word from him.

Lauren will mention that she promised Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) that she wouldn’t file a missing person’s report until tomorrow.

However, Lauren won’t be sure she can wait that long since she’ll feel like something is definitely wrong.

After Lauren makes a phone call, she’ll note Kevin’s indeed going to file that missing person’s report and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is going to reach out to Peruvian law enforcement.

Since Lauren will still feel helpless, she’ll be tempted to get on a plane and fly to Peru.

Chloe and Chelsea will seemingly manage to talk Lauren out of that plan for now.

They’ll all try to trust that Michael is brilliant at getting himself out of tight spots.

When Sally walks over, she’ll eavesdrop for a moment and then assure Lauren that Victor has people actively searching for Michael in Peru.

That’ll let Lauren know that Victor wasn’t being truthful before, so she’ll be even more worried once she knows Victor’s concerned, too.

While Lauren’s off telling Kevin what she’s learned about Victor, Chelsea will complain about Sally stirring things up when they had just calmed Lauren down.

Sally will be apologetic and hope they can all hit the reset button.

After Sally admits she misses Chloe’s friendship, she’ll be sorry that she got off on the wrong foot with Chelsea and will push for a truce.

Chelsea will doubt they can ever be best friends, so Sally will suggest tolerant acquaintances.

In the end, Chelsea will guess she’s willing to let bygones be bygones.

Back in Victoria’s office, she’ll admit to Nick that she’s scared.

Victoria will worry that maybe she’s protecting herself from the truth – and then Ashland will interrupt to grumble about the relentless Newmans.

Nick will refuse to let anyone hurt Victoria before he takes off and gets on a phone call with Victor.

Nick will think it’s good that Victoria doesn’t buy Ashland’s accusations about Victor’s setup, but he’ll still worry he might’ve lost any ground he gained.

Over with Victoria on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, she’ll hug Ashland as she continues to struggle with what to believe.

Later, Nick will meet up with Sharon, who’ll be glad he’s doing everything he can to protect his sister.

Nick will admit that if Victoria can’t open her eyes, the family will have to come up with a plan to get Ashland out of her life for good.

At Newman Media again, Adam will get upset over being left out of the loop when Victor admits Ashland’s Co-CEO status.

Adam will also question Victor’s confidence and will have to ask if these accusations against Ashland are legitimate.

Victor will wonder why Adam is suddenly doubting all the evidence, so Adam will suggest that the news of Ashland’s Co-CEO title adds new weight to his claim.

Suddenly, Nate will arrive with updates on Ashland. He’ll admit he’s got the “smoking gun” that Victor’s been looking for!
