The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of April 18 to April 22 teases that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will face car crash panic – and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will take a tragic trip with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
Y&R’s weekly promo kicks off with Chelsea approaching Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) about the trip Rey already agreed to.
Chelsea may explain how it all went down and seek confirmation that Sharon isn’t uncomfortable with the arrangement.
“Of course I’m OK with Rey going to Chicago with you and Connor,” Sharon insists in the preview video. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
Sharon may be a little annoyed that Rey didn’t talk to her first, but she trusts her husband.
Besides, Sharon knows Connor is involved, so it’s not like this is some romantic getaway.
Chelsea clearly has feelings that run deeper than friendship, but she’ll keep those to herself.
Chelsea may gush over how amazing Rey is to step up for Connor, but this good deed will be his last!
Sadly, Rey’s exit is coming up quickly. A multi-car accident is about to play out – and it looks like it’ll lead to Rey’s sudden death.
Y&R’s latest promo also shows Ashland showing up at Newman Media, where Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) have been expecting him.
The $500-million deal will apparently move forward since Ashland will believe Victoria’s committed to running away together.
However, Victoria may ultimately reveal that she played Ashland to get him to sign the paperwork.
Victoria might send Ashland out of her life alone, but Victoria has been awfully wishy-washy when it comes to her conniving husband.
That brings us to Victoria’s role in this car crash.
The preview video shows Victoria looking distraught as she speeds down the highway and slams her brakes with a scream.
With that in mind, Victoria might have a change of heart and race after Ashland in her vehicle.
Then again, Victoria might just go for a drive to clear her head after letting Ashland go.
Regardless, Victoria will get behind the wheel in a distressed state and crash her car.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be alarmed when her call to Victoria is suddenly disconnected – and Victor will look uneasy as he sits across from his worried wife.
All signs point to Victoria causing or at least playing a big role in the accident that kills Rey, so major drama’s about to erupt in Genoa City.
