The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of August 8-12 teases that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will have a tempting proposal to share while Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) stays in the dark on a secret. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also have a new demand, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
First, Victor will ignore Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) attempt to pry a confession out of him.
Chance can’t prove Victor’s guilty of a cover-up, so Victor won’t be concerned – at least not yet.
That could change since Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will struggle to handle the guilt and stress of all this.
Victor will eventually gather his family and try to take charge of the crisis while he still can.
Y&R spoilers say Victor will demand the Newman clan’s full cooperation.
Since Victor won’t want anyone involved to land behind bars, he’ll push Nick and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to stand united with him.
Victoria will get rather bossy with Chance, so she’ll probably push him to just drop the case and move on.
It’ll frustrate Victoria since Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) is still causing drama for her – even as a dead man.
Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will end up in a tight spot of her own thanks to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Nikki will hate seeing her loved ones caught up in this investigation and will hint that Abby needs to get a grip on Chance.
At Newman Media, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will worry about Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) tossing threats around for the sake of answers.
Sally will make it clear that she’ll do whatever it takes to uncover the whole truth.
Look for Sally and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to clash again as well – though Sally will mostly be the harsh one this time around.
Sally is done letting Adam push her around, so she’ll push him around instead.
Of course, Adam still loves Sally and wishes things could’ve worked out differently.
Since Adam will be so mopey and directionless, Jack will offer a fresh start at Jabot.
Adam will have to mull over Jack’s business proposition and report back with an answer.
Other Y&R spoilers say Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will vent to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) about Imani Benedict’s (Leigh-Ann Rose) manipulation.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) thinks Imani is being helpful, but all Elena will see is a troublemaker who likes to stir the pot.
Elena will lean on Devon, but she’ll also warn him about Imani and her tendency to fuel conflict.
Unfortunately, more hostility is brewing for Devon and Nate, so this working arrangement may be on the verge of falling apart.
As for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll embrace her new role running the home division of Marchetti.
Summer will look forward to working with her mom, but she’ll make Phyllis promise to be on her best behavior – and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will give Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) the same warning.
However, Phyllis will keep Summer in the dark on her true agenda, which involves attacking Diane from the inside.
Diane will see Phyllis’ sabotage setup coming from a mile away, but she’ll struggle to convince Kyle of what’s in store.
Although Diane will plan to stand against Phyllis peacefully, this feud could come with some wild twists and turns as the story moves along.
