The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Week of January 17 Update – Christine Warns Abby - Victor in Attack Mode – Adam's Bold Move

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of January 17-21 teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will make a bold Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) move – and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will go into attack mode. Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will also warn Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), so let’s talk about what’s coming up.

At the Chancellor mansion, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will stand his ground when it comes to seeking shared custody of Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) and will feel Abby’s refusal to listen left him with no choice.

Abby will reel as Devon points to Chance Chancellor’s (Conny Floyd) mental state as the reason for his actions.

Devon won’t think Chance is ready to be a parent and will want to slide in that father role while Chance works on that.

Abby will make it clear that Chance is the only father Dominic needs and will plan to fight hard in court.

Chance will get into a bit of an argument with Abby later. He’ll be honest about how much he’s struggling and suggest that Devon might have the right idea here.

Abby will remain reluctant to just hand over Dominic for scheduled visits at Devon’s penthouse since it could confuse the kid.

Abby also won’t like the thought of this taking an emotional toll on Chance – and she’ll feel certain that it will.

However, Christine will offer her expert advice during her upcoming meeting with Abby.

Christine will warn Abby about the harsh reality of a custody battle and how brutal it could get, so Abby will have to determine if she’s going to stick to her guns or surrender to what Devon wants.

Over with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), she’ll have a surprise in store for Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) – which she may ask her ex to keep under wraps.

Noah might find out Tessa’s planning a romantic night that’ll be capped off by an offer of marriage.

Tessa will indeed propose to Mariah after a sweet date at Society, so it won’t be long until their engagement’s official.

As for Noah, he’ll feel the need to clarify something to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). That could involve Noah’s love life or maybe he’ll keep things strictly business during this chat.

Whatever the case, Noah may have an answer about whether he’s going to work with his father at New Hope.

Nick would love the chance to expand the project together, but we’ll see if Noah’s willing to bail on his work at Newman Media for this.

Nick will also have an important discussion with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), who’ll serve as a sounding board in her former flame’s time of need.

Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) could easily grow concerned over all the bonding sessions that Sharon and Nick keep having!

After Adam threatens Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), he’ll have an interesting conversation with Billy.

Adam and Billy will find some common ground, so they’ll wind up striking a deal.

Billy might bring up that rather ominous text that Adam sent Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). If Adam wants to keep going after Billy, that’s one thing.

Billy just doesn’t want to see Lily get hurt, so he may seek reassurance that Adam won’t do anything to jeopardize her new role at Chancellor Communications.

Adam may admit he’s got bigger fish to fry than even Billy right now and suggest he’s willing to leave them both alone.

Billy and Adam could do something truly shocking by calling a genuine truce! Adam will be far more focused on bringing Victoria and that shady husband of hers down a few pegs.

Ashland will become a greater concern for Victor, who’ll want Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to handle a critical investigation.

The more Michael learns about Ashland’s health, the more shockers will come to light. It looks like Ashland’s phony illness is on the verge of exposure.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will develop some Ashland suspicions of her own when she catches Victoria’s hubby in a tight spot.

Back with Victor, he’ll work on a power play and will go into attack mode to protect his family’s legacy.

Other Y&R spoilers say Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will look to the future, but will she really accept one without Adam in it?

Adam tried to help Chelsea understand that they were done permanently, but Chelsea may think she just needs to switch tactics somehow.

Regardless, Chelsea certainly won’t give up on crushing the competition and will have a vengeful plan in store for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally and Chelsea’s rivalry could get out of hand once Sally returns from New York, so stay tuned.
