The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Week of September 5 – Summer in the Dark – Adam Rattles Victor – Newman Overhaul

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of September 5-9 tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) deception will rattle Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) is in the dark on something. There’ll also be a Newman Enterprises overhaul if Victor gets his way, so let’s talk about what’s brewing in Genoa City.

For starters, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will face a major setback in their mission to ruin Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

The plan Phyllis and Nikki have cooked up will flop, so Diane should be pleased to gain the upper hand.

Unfortunately, Diane may not have long to celebrate since she’ll ultimately receive a mysterious message.

There’ll be a cryptic clue for Diane to ponder, so she may worry some Los Angeles threat will still come back to haunt her.

Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will keep a secret from Summer. Will that involve Diane issues or could this involve a pleasant surprise instead?

It looks like a vow renewal may be coming up for Summer and Kyle down the road, so Kyle may want to arrange that without his wife knowing about it.

Over with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), she’ll question Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) bond.

Although Lily acted like she was willing to move past the kiss blunder quickly, that may still be on her mind.

Later, Chelsea will make some progress with Billy, but that could involve family instead of work.

Paxton Mishkind will debut as a Johnny Abbott recast on September 8, so Chelsea may at least convince Billy to move forward with that playdate for the boys.

Of course, Chelsea could cross the line and blurt out the bio mom truth to Johnny at some point.

Chelsea wants Johnny to know she gave birth to him and hopes he can connect with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) as a brother, but she could rush this process along.

Billy will also get into another fight with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about Jabot and the choices he’s making.

Jack’s decision to hire Adam will remain a problem that seriously makes Billy question his brother’s leadership skills.

Back with Phyllis, she’ll confront Jack as well.

Whether that involves Adam’s employment or another Diane-related issue, Phyllis may have a bone to pick with Jack soon enough.

Other Y&R spoilers say Adam’s deception will come to light. Something will be revealed that unsettles Victor, so we’ll see if that’s about Adam’s Jabot co-CEO position or something else.

There’s still a chance Adam could unleash Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) cover-up chaos since he has the evidence to make that happen.

Regardless, Adam will make some waves – and then Victor will make a few of his own.

Nikki’s going to deliver a stunning announcement, so that could involve her decision to step down as Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) co-CEO.

Victor will push for some changes at Newman Enterprises in the aftermath, so will he want to promote Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)?

That could lead to trouble if Victoria thinks she’s more than capable of handling the throne on her own. Things are different now that Ashland is gone, so Victoria may feel like she can fly solo if Nikki resigns.

As for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), she’ll get a fierce warning from Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson).

If Sally dares to even think about getting sucked back in Adam’s drama, Chloe will want to set her straight.

Then again, Chloe might also have some cautionary words of wisdom about the Newmans in general – or perhaps Sally’s growing interest in Nick.

Next, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will face a surprising hurdle.

Now that Tessa and Mariah have decided to resume the adoption process, it could set them up for an unexpected snag.

Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will make some powerful moves to show he’s got what it takes in business.

Imani Benedict (temporarily played by Denise Boutte) will approve, but Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will see a more aggressive side of Nate that she doesn’t like.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say the week of September 5-9 will bring some shockers, so stay tuned.
