The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) could leave Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and reconcile with Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) once Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) out of the picture in future episodes of Y&R.
Viewers of The Young and the Restless know that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has been working long and hard to bust the sneaky Locke since he did some things that were suspicious.
For one thing, as viewers will recall, Locke has been making some pretty independent decisions in the office for only having the position of advisor, with Victoria being the CEO.
Victor sent Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to Peru to check things out in person after suspicious payments and ownership of the clinic – namely by Ashland himself – were discovered.
Victor will confront Locke with what he’s found, and is in the process of banding the Newmans together for a fight and to protect Victoria.
Victor also aims to get Victoria out of her somewhat fraudulent marriage, after all it was based on the scam of marriage to a “dying” man – maybe an annulment would be allowed, based on the mitigating circumstances.
The Young and the Restless fans will remember that Billy, along with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) were the first to suspect that Ashland Locke was a fake.
Neither’s efforts to show Victoria she was about to make a bad mistake were taken seriously at the time.
Not even The Moustache himself, Victor Newman, saw through Ashland at first, but more recently his eyes have been opened to the fact that Billy and Nick were right all along.
In fact, Victor’s investigations by Michael are bringing up proof that Locke is even more of a “Locke Ness Monster” and a fraud than he thought, even though he bought Locke’s story about Jesse Gaines Jr (Jamison Jones) and even paid the man to go away.
Victor knew powerful men were frequently blackmailed and even overlooked Ashland’s real name being Bobby DeFranco – after all, his real name is Christian Miller and he worked his way up from nothing too.
But now Victor’s taking both Billy’s and Nick’s past warnings much more seriously!
The Young and the Restless has shown how much Billy misses his and Victoria’s kids, since he is one of those dads who can play right along like a big kid himself.
That was a part of Billy that Victoria treasured, in spite of the friction caused by her father’s disapproval of him.
Viewers will remember while they were still in town and not in a faraway boarding school the times Lily and Billy had them at their place, and Lily didn’t seem to mind too much.
Lily’s children are grown but she really doesn’t seem like an empty nest sufferer so the absence of Billy’s children doesn’t bother her – but it bothers Billy!
But once Ashland’s out of the way and Victoria is shocked and bereft, viewers won’t be surprised if Billy leaves Lily in the dust and reconciles with Victoria.
Victor may even have a better opinion of Billy since he was right about Locke all along!
