At the clinic, Tammy is so happy, she is finally approved for surgery. Finally all the work has paid off, she calls herself a walking miracle. Dr. Smith stresses that she has to do everything he tells her to do because there are a lot of possible complications. It is so important that she stay compliant.

The next day, Amy can’t believe that Tammy is going to get the surgery, she has sister back. Amy is really proud that Tammy actually did it, she wants to be there for her and her surgery. Before leaving to support Tammy, Amy and her husband go to say goodbye to her mom and bring her some groceries. Mom is really proud of Tammy too. Amy asks if she wants to go and she says no, she won’t leave her babies, her dogs. And, she doesn’t think she could handle it with how her legs are. She is sad that she can’t make it, but she is there for Tammy. She just hopes she doesn’t get a call that Tammy died, but its in God’s hands.

Tammy is alone in a room when Chris walks in, it is surgery day. Tammy is wheeled out and outside she finds her family all congratulating her on her success. She says they are trying to make her cry. They had a poster for her to read, everyone wrote a little bit to support her. Tammy gets to hold the little bear, she says that is what keeps her going and when she gets home, she is babysitting both of them. She appreciates them being there, she needed to know that they love her no matter what, are there for her. That is one of the biggest thing that pushes her through. Tammy is terrified that something could go wrong. She just had a near death experience but she is willing to take the risks, she is tired of living the way she does.

Due to COVID restrictions, only two people can go with Tammy. Misty and Chris go in with her, Tammy says she needs a nap, she is tired. Time for surgery.

Chris is getting worried, Tammy should have been out by now. Dr. Smith comes out and tells them that everything went fine, they are happy with the surgery. It took a little bit longer because there were problems with her small bowel. Misty calls the rest of the family and ells them Tammy came through the surgery fine, no complications, she did very well. She is in recovery for another 45 minutes, after that some of them can go see her.

Tammy is awake, she is cheeky with Chris and he loves it. He is so happy that she is ok, but he knows she has a tough two weeks ahead of her.

Back home, Amy has a meeting with Dr. Procter on video chat. It has a been a year since she spoke to him, and now its time. In the video, she has Glen. She tells him that Tammy had her weight loss surgery, he is happy to know that Tammy got there. He tells her that she was at 275 last time, he wants her to weigh in. She does and she is at 281. He says she gained only six pounds and that is remarkable after two pregnancies. He says there is no reason to redo the surgery, she just needs to focus on the things that are going to help her lose weight. No dairy, carbs, time to buckle down. He would like to see her down to 264 in six weeks. Amy says if Tammy can do what she did, so can she if she puts her mind to it.

It’s been two days since Tammy’s surgery, no complications and they are letting her go. The family is picking her up to take her to the hotel for a few days, then it is back to rehab. Tammy is a little sore, but she feels good. Billy tells her that she handled like a pro. Chris tells her that he is glad that she is doing as good as she does, keep the momentum. Tammy says she has missed so much and she can’t wait to see where life takes her. Tammy says maybe she might want a kid now, something changed inside of her, seeing Amy with her boys.

Dr. Smith is happy that Tammy is doing well, she can leave but she still has to be monitored. Tammy is in the ambulance.

Back at rehab, the family says their goodbyes and Chris is worried about Tammy, he just hopes she doesn’t go back to old habits and her bad attitude.
