Tonight’s Chicago Fire episode begins with Sylvie and Dylan putting on a magic show for children. Meanwhile, at the station, Herrmann asks for some time off, and when chief Boden asks why, he plays it off as nothing. A call comes in for a wellness check, the team heads out. When they arrive Mouch is the first one out with Kidd, they find a door unlocked and there doesn’t seem to be anyone there.

They call out, but still nothing. Much doesn’t like when he sees ammunition on the table and acetone. They go outside and still call out, but nothing. All of a sudden, Mouth finds a bunker, Kidd looks in the window, and looks like there is an unconscious victim in there. Severide is on the scene, he calls out orders. All of a sudden, a woman runs in and she says she is the victim, Kevin’s sister. She says she hadn’t heard from her brother, and the last thing he said is that the world was ending.

Severide makes an order to blast the barred door. They get the door open, and there is a small explosion, but everyone is ok. Severide is the first one to go down, Kevin is alive, but his pulse is faint and his breathing is diagonal. Brett tells his sister that he is not out of the woods, they need to take him to med.

Back at the firehouse, a girl makes a TikTok, she is looking for a young firefighter she met at a fire recently, Darren thinks it is about Blake and that he should DM her.

Kidd goes to speak to Kelly and she tells him that she feels that he steamrolled her. He says he doesn’t want to talk about it, he did what he had to do.

Herrmann tells Boden the truth, about Cindy’s cancer. Herrmann says he hasn’t mentioned it to anyone yet. The doctors won’t know how serious it is until after the procedure. Boden offers anything Herrmann or Cindy needs, he is there for them.

A TikTok girl hit up Blake, she wants to meet, her name is Kayla.

Sylvie tells Violet that Dylan asked her to dinner and she is worried that he is starting to rush things.

At home, the kids are arguing, Cindy tries to keep smiling and Herrmann tells them to smarten up. Herrmann calls everyone to the table, he tells them that Cindy is going for a procedure, and they want them to know why he is a little stressed. Cindy tells them she has a tumor in her lung and the doctors want to remove it, so it doesn’t spread. Herrmann tells them she is going to be ok, she is tough and they always pull through.

Sylvie is at dinner with Dylan, she tells him that he is a lot of fun and a really great guy, but she is not looking for anything super serious and would love to keep things casual. He says ok, he is cool with that.

Blake took his date to a bar where they do axe throwing. She tells him that she is so glad that he DM’d her. She then reveals that her dad works for the Cubs, and she returns his glove that he left at the scene of the fire. But, it is not his glove.

Kidd arrives home early, Severide is watching TV, she tells him that she acted the way she did on the call because he is her husband, because she thought he would understand how she felt. And if he has a problem with that, maybe they should put in for different shifts.

It’s is the morning of Cindy’s surgery, so much is unknown until they go into surgery. Herrmann tells her he will be waiting for her outside the operating room the whole time.

Boden finds out about the disagreement between Kelly and Kidd and wants it to stop now. He tells them to work it out, he doesn’t want it spilling into 51.

A call comes in, someone is injured at the marina, a boat has fallen on a woman named Cheryl.

Boden shows up at the hospital to support Herrmann while he waits.

Blake is on a date again with Kayla and he tells her the truth, she ends up leaving.

Dylan is also honest with Sylvie, he tells her that he didn’t tell her the truth about his being ok with having a casual relationship, he is not ok with and he leaves.

Kelly arrives home and calls out for Stella, she is wearing his lucky coat and nothing else.

The doctor tells Herrmann that Cindy is doing well, they walk ad he says they were not able to get the margins clean, she made it through the surgery well, but there was cancer in the lymph nodes as well. The next step is chemo and radiation. The doctor tells him to say hopeful.
