Days of Our Lives Recap: Monday, October 16 – Xander’s Baby Victoria Setback – Lucas Faces Clyde’s Grim Threat

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, October 16, reveals that Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) was hoping for some passion as she approached Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) from behind, but he pulled away and left her puzzled.

Chad apologized and explained that it was Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) birthday today, so it was hitting him hard.

After Chad reflected on almost wiping Clyde Weston (James Read) off the map, he acknowledged that it was a good thing he didn’t since his kids needed him.

Although Stephanie offered to visit Abigail’s grave with Chad, he admitted he’d rather go alone.

Stephanie acted like she understood, but she still seemed uneasy about everything that just went down.

At the hospital on Monday’s Days episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) quizzed a drug addict about the pills he’d taken and wanted to draw some blood.

The patient (James Simenc) grabbed a scalpel and insisted he was going to take some of Tripp’s blood instead!

Afterward, Tripp had a minor gash on his arm and explained to Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) what happened with the patient, who managed to get away.

Kayla helped Tripp get patched up and sent him home since it was hospital policy.

Next on Monday’s DOOL show, Stephanie found Kayla and got updates on Tripp’s ordeal. Once Kayla declined Stephanie’s lunch invitation, Stephanie hinted about it not being her first rejection today.

Kayla quizzed Stephanie, who explained the tricky situation with Chad since it was Abigail’s birthday and he didn’t want her around.

Although Stephanie believed Chad loved her, she tearfully doubted that he’d ever love her as much as he loved Abigail.

At Statesville, Clyde Weston (James Read) read an article about Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) being alive and gloated to himself about being the one who sent her to Edmund Crumb (Adam Caine).

Clyde felt confident that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and the keystone cops would never figure that out.

Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) came along fuming about Abigail and clashed with Clyde, who wasn’t afraid of his threats.

However, Clyde thought Lucas should be afraid of him instead, especially since he could hurt someone else that Lucas loved.

Lucas later called Chad to check on him since it was Abigail’s birthday and mentioned his Clyde confrontation.

Chad was concerned about Lucas making more trouble for himself behind bars, so he urged Lucas to steer clear of Clyde. Lucas acted like Clyde was the one who needed to keep his distance!

In a moment alone, Chad also admired Abigail’s pic on his phone and admitted he missed her every day. As Chad teared up, he said Abigail was still the most beautiful woman he’d ever laid eyes on.

At Tripp’s apartment on Monday’s Days episode, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) confessed their mutual feelings, but they also felt they should stick to friendship until they got their lives back on track.

Ava liked to cook, so Harris thought she could make a living feeding people. Harris also hoped to maybe score a job at the Salem PD as a cop or consultant.

Ava agreed to go out to dinner with Harris soon and suggested that a hug wouldn’t cross any boundaries, so they embraced right as Tripp returned home.

Once Harris left, Ava saw the bandage on Tripp’s arm and questioned him about what happened. Tripp downplayed his encounter with a patient earlier, but Clyde called Ava soon after to insist her son’s little accident wasn’t an accident.

Ava asked who was on the other end of the line since Clyde was calling from a burner phone. Clyde suggested that Ava would soon find out since they had a lot to talk about.

At the Kiriakis mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) made great progress in understanding each other’s perspectives.

Sarah was sorry for trying to keep Xander away from Victoria Horton and was now willing to share custody, so Xander was thrilled.

Just before Sarah could go get Victoria so she could meet her daddy, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) called with the news that Xander filed for full custody.

Sarah learned that Xander hired Sloan Petersen (Jessica Sertfary), who planned to argue that Sarah was an unfit parent.

That sent Sarah flying into a rage, so she called off the custody agreement and made it clear that she was going to fight Xander in court. Sarah stormed out on Xander, who looked incredibly frustrated over the setback.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander and Sarah’s court feud will come with some curveballs, so stay tuned to DOOL.
