Days of Our Lives Recap: Thursday, April 27 – Talia’s Alibi Gets Messy – Sloan’s Sneak Attack on Rafe & Jada

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 27, reveals that Colin (Jasper Newman) made out with Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian), who assured him that the cops didn’t suspect he put her up to drugging the biscuits.

Colin felt that was a rather harsh thing to say and thought they were in this together, so Talia insisted that they were.

There was also talk about how Talia met Colin in New York and felt a strong connection with him right away.

Talia pointed out that she put her medical career on hold for Colin and thought that proved she was committed to helping him.

Colin noted that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) pushed his mother off the roof and eventually ranted about Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) covering it up.

Talia knew making Chanel and Paulina pay was important to Colin, but she had some reservations – especially since she was the one out there creating drama while Colin hid out.

After Talia mentioned that Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) was a top suspect, Colin argued that they expected that going into their plan.

Talia thought they should at least give Sloan updates on what they were doing, but Colin shut down the idea since she’d never risk her law license by getting caught up in anything illegal.

Talia had a flashback of stealing Paulina’s keys so that there’d be no sign of forced entry at her office. Since Sloan was innocent, Colin insisted his sister wouldn’t be convicted.

At one point, Talia took a call from Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), who asked about the discrepancy in her sister’s story from the night the biscuits were drugged.

With Colin’s help, Talia made up some lies about having a headache, stopping to buy some aspirin and taking a walk by the lake. That accounted for Talia’s delay in getting home.

Colin thought that took care of it, but Talia worried her flimsy alibi would be a problem now that she was inventing new details.

Plus, Talia pointed out that she’d been getting to know Chanel and Paulina, who seemed like really nice people. Colin felt it was an act and did his best to keep Talia on his side before she headed out.

Back with Jada on Thursday’s Days episode, she told Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) that Talia hesitated on the story details and had been forgetful when she normally remembered everything.

Rafe offered to take Jada off the case since no one could force her to investigate her own family, but she insisted on sticking with it.

Even so, Rafe didn’t understand why Talia’s motive would be, so Jada decided the culprit had to be someone else and brought the focus back to Sloan.

At the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Sloan left Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) right as Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) arrived.

Brady realized Eric and Sloan were still a thing, so he pointed out that everyone hated her.

However, Eric didn’t care and clarified that he’d actually decided to take his relationship with Sloan to the next level.

As for the drugging incident, Eric knew Sloan wasn’t guilty since he was her alibi.

Brady had no judgment for Eric and wound up complaining about Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) hanging around Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) all the time.

Eric thought Brady should give Chloe a little more credit and trust that she wouldn’t let Xander enter her life in any meaningful way.

After Brady chuckled over Eric being right, he said it wasn’t like Chloe and Xander were moving in together!

Meanwhile, Chloe stopped by Xander’s motel room to give him a plant since he was still recovering from his dart wound.

When Chloe changed shirtless Xander’s bandage, there was a rather charged moment between them.

Xander was looking to upgrade his living arrangement now that he’d saved up some money.

Chloe also needed a new place besides the Salem Inn, but she worried about affording it since she didn’t have a job.

Xander suggested moving in together and felt that Chloe could help keep things tidy instead of paying.

Chloe thought it sounded like Xander wanted a housekeeper instead, but he vowed to be cleaner and got her on board with being platonic roommates.

Later, Chloe and Xander ran into Talia as she was leaving Colin’s room.

After Chloe recognized Talia as a Sweet Bits employee, Xander asked if she sold Chloe a drugged biscuit.

Talia muttered an apology and rushed out, so Chloe scolded Xander and assumed it wasn’t Talia’s fault about the biscuits getting drugged.

Outside the pub on Thursday’s DOOL episode, Sloan ripped into Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) over the article he published about her.

Now Sloan wanted to offer some other juicy gossip to throw off the investigation.

Sloan gave Leo news about Rafe’s involvement with Jada and hoped he’d publish something about it.

Leo assumed Sloan wanted to get Jada and Rafe thrown off the force, but he questioned whether his column would really throw the investigation off track.

“Let’s find out,” Sloan said with a smile on Thursday’s Days episode.

In the town square, Chanel pushed Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) to seduce Sloan and pry a confession out of her, but he rejected the idea and played up the work he was doing in therapy.

When Alex offered Chanel a loan since business was bad, she declined – though she appreciated the gesture.

Chanel also pointed out how sweet Talia had been when she offered to work for free, so she was grateful for the support.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Talia will run into more problems as her guilt worsens, so stick with DOOL.
