Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 6, reveals that Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson) woke up in a hospital bed and learned it’d been two days since she had emergency surgery.
Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) was relieved over Megan finally regaining consciousness and filled her in on how she ended up in the hospital since she was hazy on everything.
When Megan realized she was handcuffed to the bed, she demanded to know why.
Dimitri admitted Megan was facing Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) kidnapping accusations, but she acted like the idea of her holding them captive was absurd.
Although Megan vehemently denied holding EJ and Kristen hostage, Dimitri thought back to some suspicious moments and didn’t seem so sure she was telling the truth.
As Megan cried on Thursday’s Days episode, she begged Dimitri to tell her that he believed her and that he’d never betray her.
Dimitri assured Megan that he’d never turn his back on her and apologized for making her feel otherwise.
Megan got updates on Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) staying right by Dimitri’s side during the crisis, so she hoped maybe Dimitri had found someone to love in addition to someone who could help secure the Von Leuschner fortune.
Near the waiting area, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) brought Gwen a change of clothes, but he could see that she’d already changed.
Gwen talked about how much pain Dimitri had been in, but Leo thought he was being manipulative and eventually headed back to the DiMera mansion to search for proof again.
At Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) townhouse on Thursday’s DOOL show, she wasn’t happy to find Kristen on her doorstep.
EJ joined Kristen after parking the car and backed up her story about Megan kidnapping them.
Since EJ and Kristen couldn’t remember why, they convinced Marlena to put them under hypnosis.
Marlena indeed hypnotized the siblings offscreen, Kristen and EJ remembered how Megan plotted to end Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), programmed Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) and framed Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) for it.
After EJ sent Kristen to give the news to the police, he decided to pay Megan a visit in the hospital.
Next on Thursday’s Days episode, Harris was also stuck in a hospital bed thanks to a pair of handcuffs.
Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) stopped by to grill Harris and suspected Megan was using Harris as her pawn again.
Harris told Kate to get lost or find someone to set him free so he could complete his mission.
However, Kate thought Harris was a good man and pushed him to accept the deprogramming help that Marlena could offer.
After Harris mulled it over, he got a message to Marlena through the cops. When Marlena showed up to see Harris, he confessed to realizing that he needed her help.
In the Salem PD interrogation room, Li pointed the finger at Megan and acted like it was obvious she targeted Stefan to get a bigger piece of the DiMera pie.
Stefan and Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) weren’t convinced that Megan would go after a family member like that.
Nevertheless, Gabi and Stefan seemed more open to the idea of Megan being responsible once they spoke privately.
Stefan planned to meet up with Gabi at home after he talked to DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) about the possibility, but Gabi was determined to confront Megan at the hospital.
When Kristen compared notes with Stefan later, she mentioned Marlena’s hypnosis session and brought him up to speed on the plot she’d remembered along with EJ.
Stefan assured Kristen that he’d talk to Trask, so Kristen headed home and demanded to know what Leo was doing when she caught him rummaging around.
When Stefan returned to the interrogation room on Thursday’s Days episode, he warned Li that he wasn’t off the hook yet.
Stefan insisted that Li might’ve been in on Megan’s scheme, so he said Li wasn’t going anywhere until he got confirmation.
Back at the hospital, Gwen joined Dimitri in celebrating the fact that Megan was awake. Megan was grateful to Gwen for supporting Dimitri through this ordeal and offered some words of wisdom.
After Megan advised against postponing happiness, she talked about seizing an opportunity and not letting it pass you by.
In a moment alone with Dimitri, Megan pushed him to make Gwen his wife, so he promised to do his best.
Megan also warned Dimitri not to trust the rest of the DiMera clan and said they had to stick together, so he agreed they’d be a united front.
Once Dimitri took Gwen back to her suite at the Salem Inn, she was ready to respond to his proposal. Gwen smiled as she told Dimitri that her answer was yes.
At the hospital again, EJ ran into Kate and revealed how he recalled Megan’s plot now.
Kate wanted to see the look on Megan’s face when EJ told her she’d be locked up again, so they went into her room together.
As Kate and EJ burst through the door, they were stunned to find Gabi handcuffed in Megan’s hospital bed.
Megan had clearly gained the upper hand and swapped places with Gabi to make her escape.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Megan will avoid prison for now, but there’s much more DiMera drama to come.
