Days of Our Lives Recap: Thursday, November 23 – Gwen’s Call Weirds Out Stephanie – Holly Recruits Sabotage Partner

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, November 23, reveals that Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) made a suspicious discovery while Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) was showering after the charity turkey trot.

Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) showed up on Chad’s caller ID, so Stephanie wondered why Gwen would be calling him.

Chad acted clueless when he returned and lied about Gwen wishing Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) a happy early birthday after listening to the voicemail.

In a moment alone, Chad called Gwen back to let her know the contracts and money transfer were all set.

Chad added that Stephanie couldn’t know about him buying Gwen’s half of The Spectator and hinted about this being a way to get Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) out of their lives.

At the Horton house on Thursday’s Days episode, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) was alarmed by an unknown man in her home.

It ended up being Everett, who turned around and revealed that Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) let him in.

Since Julie and Doug were the matriarch and patriarch of Salem, Everett wanted to do a feature on them for The Spectator.

Julie insisted they wanted no part of it after that trashy editorial on Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).

Everett understood, but he also tried to explain his PR-related reasons for handling the Leo situation like that.

After Everett assured Julie that he wanted to restore the paper to its previous esteemed reputation, she decided she believed him.

Once Chad and Stephanie showed up, the kids played outside while Julie delivered some shocking news.

Everett walked in and caught Stephanie off guard along with Chad, so Julie explained The Spectator story and her invitation to let him stay for dinner.

After sending Chad and Everett to the kitchen, Stephanie filled Julie in on her romantic history with Everett.

Julie was apologetic for inviting Stephanie’s ex-boyfriend to the gathering, but she didn’t think she could ask him to leave now.

Stephanie made it clear that she wasn’t asking Julie to do that and offered reassurance. Julie ultimately decided that Thanksgiving was going to be awkward this year!

Doug was napping after the turkey trot, so Julie said they should do toasts without him.

Chad imagined announcing he was the new co-owner of the paper and that he was firing Everett, but then he snapped out of the fantasy.

At the DiMera mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) found Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) moping alone while Nicole Walker-DiMera (Arianne Zucker) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) remained at the hospital.

Since Johnny didn’t want to leave Holly lonely on Thanksgiving, he called Chanel to admit he needed to stay there with his stepsister – though Johnny hoped to meet up with Chanel later.

Johnny and Holly wound up finding the ingredients for “Thanksgiving on a bun” sandwiches, so they ate together in the living room.

Holly had a little gravy in the corner of her mouth, so she seemed pleased when Johnny dabbed at it for her.

At the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) had Thanksgiving dinner with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), who heard about the almost kiss misunderstanding and how Holly reacted.

Tate admitted Holly was ignoring his texts, so Brady suggested calling Holly or perhaps taking some pie to her for dessert.

After what happened with Nicole and her baby, Brady thought Holly could use someone to lean on right now.

Tate made his way to the DiMera mansion on Thursday’s DOOL show, so he interrupted Holly’s dinner with Johnny.

Since Holly had company now, Johnny took that as his cue to leave and try to make it for dessert at Paulina Price’s (Jackee Harry) apartment.

Tate apologized for his terrible timing, but Holly decided she didn’t mind and was over their recent tiff.

Holly was willing to be Tate’s friend again, but she wanted him to help her break up Chanel and Johnny in return.

When Tate balked at the idea, Holly lashed out and acted like their friendship was over.

Tate relented on helping Holly sabotage Johnny and Chanel’s romance, so Holly hugged him and predicted she’d be sharing dessert with Johnny by Christmas.

At Paulina’s place, Chanel gave Paulina updates on Holly’s annoying crush on Johnny.

Abe Carver (James Reynolds) eventually had dinner with Paulina and Chanel, who showed off some new pics of Jules and Carver Grant.

Abe got upset over the pictures since it was hard to see pics of Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) and her kids without remembering anything about them.

Chanel was sorry for upsetting Abe and gave him some alone time with Paulina.

Once Chanel ran into Johnny in the town square, they shared some lovey-dovey moments.

As for Paulina, she flashed back to the time she planted a kiss on amnesiac Abe and caused him to flip out.

Now Paulina assured Abe that she was focused on being grateful for what she got – and tonight, that meant being thankful for Abe’s great company.

Abe ended up confessing that although he was overwhelmed the first time Paulina did it, he was now on the same page about wanting to kiss her.

That led to Paulina and Abe sharing some sweet smooches as their connection grew stronger.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Abe and Paulina’s future is bright, especially once Abe’s memories return down the road.
