Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 12, reveals that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) got a visit from Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), who informed him that she was leaving Salem and seeking a fresh start in New York with Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier).
Although Brady hated to see Chloe go and wasn’t ready to forgive Philip, he accepted her decision.
Brady admitted he’d never truly get over Chloe since she was his first love and shared some emotional moments as they said their goodbyes.
Later, Brady told Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) about his farewell with Chloe and got a text that left him fuming.
At Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) apartment, he was surprised by Justin Kiriakis’ (Wally Kurth) knock at the door.
Justin came in and shared a beer with Alex, who was sorry for his initial reaction to the news about Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) being his bio dad.
Alex knew that Justin was still his father in every way that counted and was grateful to him as well as his brothers.
Justin hugged Alex and quizzed him about ousting Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers), but Alex defended the decision since he was Victor’s heir.
As for the Kiriakis mansion, Alex wasn’t sure whether he’d move back in or not. Justin was glad to see that Alex wasn’t swimming in gold coins since money and power can change a person his age.
If Alex ever started to lose himself, he hoped that Justin would let him know.
After Justin left on Thursday’s Days episode, Brady showed up to confront Alex about quitting Basic Black and going back to Titan without telling him.
Alex apologized and hoped to make it up to Brady now that DiMera’s exclusivity rights were ending.
Once Alex suggested Brady could strike a much better deal at Titan, Brady pointed out that Alex was a backstabber and now wanted to own him.
That left Brady feeling like Alex really was Victor’s son.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Thursday’s DOOL show, Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) arrived from Greece to offer his condolences since Victor was such a good friend of his.
Konstantin also wanted to give Maggie a gift, so she opened a box containing an old photo album.
It had pictures of Victor when he was young, so Maggie was delighted and insisted on Konstantin staying at the mansion since he planned to explore Salem for a while.
However, Justin seemed suspicious of Konstantin when he came home and got updates on everything.
At the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Philip filled Belle Brady (Martha Madison) in on his decision to leave for New York with Chloe, but he clarified that they were just two friends seeking a fresh start together for now.
Belle admitted her marriage to Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) might be over now that he’d cheated on her with Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian).
After Belle suggested it might be karma for the times she’d betrayed Shawn, she just didn’t see the point in trying to fix anything.
Philip urged Belle not to give up on Shawn without a fight, so she agreed to try and save their relationship before heading to the Salem PD.
At the police station on Thursday’s Days episode, Shawn expressed his gratitude over the phone to someone for arranging something so quickly.
When Talia approached Shawn, she suggested maybe they should talk about things now that Belle knew what happened between them.
Talia felt horrible since Shawn’s marriage might be ending because of her, but Shawn insisted it’d be his fault if that was the case.
Once Belle arrived, she spotted Shawn holding Talia’s hand and said she hoped she wasn’t interrupting anything. Belle pushed to speak with Shawn alone and made a speech about trying to save their marriage.
Although Shawn was glad to hear Belle say that, he admitted he wouldn’t be around to fix things.
Shawn found an outpatient rehab center near Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) facility, so he felt he should get treatment and be around his family there.
Belle assumed she would go too, but Shawn admitted this would likely take more than a couple months.
Shawn had to stick with treatment long enough to get his head on straight – and he had to do it without Belle.
Belle cried since she didn’t understand why he couldn’t lean on his wife, but Shawn said he had to put his own oxygen mask on before worrying if their marriage had enough oxygen.
Shawn hoped to come home to Belle after he found a way to heal, so she pulled him into an emotional embrace.
Back at the pub, Kate expressed concern over Philip leaving town with Chloe, but he reassured her before Chloe appeared.
Kate was surprisingly civil and simply warned Chloe not to break Philip’s heart.
Philip later told Chloe about his conversation with Belle and heard about her discussion with Brady as well.
Chloe and Philip confirmed that they were really doing this – leaving for New York and seeing where things might lead with no promises or expectations.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Philip and Chloe will have a chance to make things work off screen, so there’s hope for “Phloe” fans.
