Days of Our Lives Recap: Tuesday, December 19 – Gabi’s Broken Leg – Ava Dumps Harris – Stefan Alarms Chad

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 19, reveals that Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) fumed over Gabi Hernandez DiMera (last played by Camila Banus) having a broken leg behind bars. The official story was that Gabi fell, but Stefan knew Clyde Weston (James Read) must’ve ordered this as a warning.

Clyde was apparently angry over a botched shipment, so that was his way of retaliating. Stefan also gave Ava a nudge to cut Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) loose since he could be in danger, too.

After Harris showed up, he told Ava the story of getting drunk with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu).

Harris admitted that he took Stephanie back up to his place so she could crash there.

Harris also confessed to kissing Stephanie, but he assured Ava that it was meaningless and that he was sorry it happened.

Ava and Harris hadn’t discussed being exclusive, but Harris acknowledged that it still felt wrong.

Although Harris hoped Ava could accept his apology, she surprised him by insisting she couldn’t.

Ava acted like the whole thing gave her a bad feeling – and when she’d ignored that bad feeling in the past, it’d led her down a troubling road.

Ava claimed she couldn’t risk her mental health, so she confirmed their romance was over and urged Harris to leave. Once Harris was gone, Ava cried over pushing him away for his own good.

In the town square on Tuesday’s Days episode, things were awkward as Stephanie tried to chat with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) about Christmas shopping.

When Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) appeared and mentioned his reservation for them at The Bistro, Stephanie decided she wasn’t hungry and took off toward the park.

Everett caught up with Stephanie and shared a pastry with her, which gave them a chance to talk about where things stood between them.

Stephanie confirmed her breakup from Chad, but she wasn’t ready to jump back into another relationship and needed a break from dating altogether. Everett promised not to pressure Stephanie and insisted he’d just be her friend.

Since Stephanie wasn’t available, Everett suggested there wasn’t anyone else he wanted romantically – and that meant he was taking a break from relationships, too.

Stephanie knew she needed to stop being codependent and reflected on the goals she’d made for herself – like having a home and family.

Although Stephanie knew women who were fine with having kids in their 40s, she wanted to be a young mom and seemed to understand that the biological clock was ticking.

Everett thought Stephanie had time and that her goals were attainable.

Back with Chad on Tuesday’s DOOL show, he found Stefan throwing back drinks at the pub.

Chad tried to pry information out of Stefan, who mentioned Gabi’s prison injury without elaborating on who was behind it.

After Chad admitted his breakup with Stephanie, he once again pushed Stefan for info.

Stefan wound up hinting that Clyde was the reason Gabi was in danger, so Chad threw a glass in anger and demanded answers.

Stefan mentioned certain things Clyde wasn’t happy about, but he refused to go into detail and acted like he’d already said too much.

Once Stefan made his way back to The Bistro, he found Ava drinking and learned she’d just pushed Harris out of her life.

Outside the pub on Tuesday’s Days episode, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) caught Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) on a suspicious phone call.

It was one Theresa shared with Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos), but she covered by acting like it was a spam call.

Theresa also snapped at Brady for harassing her and hurled insults about all the women he’d been with while she was raising Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann).

At the Titan office, Brady got into yet another argument with Theresa over his lack of trust, but she eventually tried a softer approach and assured him that everything was truly fine.

Later, Brady warned Alex not to screw Theresa over since she was fragile and could relapse.

Alex made it clear that Theresa was doing well and acted like Brady should just focus on working well with her at Titan.

At Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) place, she tried to conceal her exhaustion from Abe Carver (James Reynolds) when he stopped by with cookies.

Paulina also got Abe’s help writing a mayoral speech for her podcast, so he decided it was perfect once she read the finished product and gave her a hug.

Once Theresa was alone on Tuesday’s Days episode, she took a phone call from Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) and learned he was in Salem.

Andrew asked Theresa if she’d meet with him, so they made plans to see each other in the park.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Andrew’s about to put Theresa in a tight spot, so stay tuned to watch him give her updates on some startling news!
