Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Tuesday, September 26, reveals that Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) stopped Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) in the town square and suggested Kate should join her since misery loves company.
Bonnie assumed Kate must also be miserable since she hated Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel), who swooped in and claimed the Kiriakis empire for herself.
Kate eventually made it to the pub, where she gushed over little Victoria Horton and wished she’d been told about her birth two days ago.
Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) apologized along with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) before pointing out that at least she was there for the wedding!
Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) piped up about being the officiant since he got ordained online, but Sarah looked uncomfortable over her imminent nuptials.
Nevertheless, Kate and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) were witnesses once Philip kicked off the tiny ceremony. When it was time for Sarah’s part of the vows, she hesitated and seemed lost in thought.
Sarah ultimately got her head in the game and reciprocated Rex’s vows before they exchanged rings.
Philip pronounced them husband and wife, so Rex and Sarah shared a kiss to seal the deal.
Meanwhile, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) marveled over the paternity shocker before Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) admitted she considered keeping the news about Victoria under wraps.
However, Chloe knew Xander deserved the truth and insisted she overheard Rex confiding in Philip about Xander being the baby’s true father.
Xander struggled to believe Sarah would lie to him about this, but then he decided she must think a lie’s better than Victoria having him for a dad.
Chloe eventually confessed that Sarah didn’t really love Rex – that she was only going through with this marriage to bolster her paternity cover-up.
Although Xander tried to act like this didn’t change anything, Chloe argued that it changed everything instead and wondered if he could honestly say it didn’t.
Xander assured Chloe of his love, but she shut down his attempt to say anything more and pushed him to go speak with Sarah before her wedding.
Once Xander left, Chloe reminisced about happier times throwing darts with him and called Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo) to tearfully let her know the wedding was off.
Back at the pub on Tuesday’s Days episode, Xander walked in right as Rex was kissing the bride.
After Xander sarcastically said he was sorry to crash the party, he confronted “Mrs. Brady” about her paternity deception.
Xander pointed out that Chloe overheard Rex’s conversation with Philip and had the decency to tell him before they got married in New York.
Rex tried to act like Chloe misunderstood, but Sarah admitted that she didn’t.
Once Sarah confirmed that Xander was Victoria’s father, Xander snarled that they needed to talk alone.
Outside the pub, Xander fumed and demanded to know how Sarah could do this to him!
Back inside on Tuesday’s DOOL show, Rex accepted a drink and confessed to his parents that although the relationship wasn’t real for Sarah, it was real for him.
While Chloe was reeling over the day’s events, she was surprised to open the door and find Philip standing there.
At the Horton house, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) made herself scarce so that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) could explain Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) new will to Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson).
Alex was relieved to know Maggie was getting 50 percent of Victor’s estate and that Vivian would get nothing.
Once Alex became curious about the other half of Victor’s estate, he assumed there was a catch based on how weird Justin was acting.
Justin admitted that the rest was going to Victor’s son – one that none of them ever knew about.
That left Alex outraged, so he insisted they had to fight this and couldn’t let some interloper take half of everything.
Justin finally shut down Alex’s rant and told him that he was the son in the will.
As Justin got emotional, he informed Alex that he wasn’t his biological father – that Victor was instead.
Alex was stunned as Justin explained the contents of Anjelica Deveraux’s (Judith Chapman) letter and felt like this was a nightmare he wanted to wake up from.
Justin insisted he was still Alex’s dad in every way that counted, but Alex felt betrayed by Victor and Anjelica. Since everything Alex believed was a lie, he was visibly upset and requested some time alone.
As Alex gazed at Victor’s portrait later, he struggled to wrap his head around Victor being his real father.
Back in the town square on Tuesday’s Days episode, Maggie found Bonnie and offered updates on Alex’s paternity drama.
Bonnie rushed to Justin’s side, so he sobbed in her arms over Alex not being his true son.
