Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) are on cloud nine, but something – or someone – will have to knock them off it eventually.
Since we know Camila Banus has already filmed her final scenes as Gabi, we should start thinking about how she might exit Days.
It’s possible DOOL will kill Gabi off, but that seems like a waste and an unnecessary headache.
Gabi could easily be recast down the road – or Camila Banus could come back for Days return stints at some point.
Death isn’t permanent in Salem anyway, but It’d be simpler if something blew up Gabi’s relationship with Stefan and caused her to leave town.
Although Stefan and Gabi are madly in love, they’re not immune to problems and betrayals.
It’s no different than when Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) bailed on Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) for Africa when they were newlyweds.
It was totally out of character for Eric to walk away from Nicole like that and keep neglecting her by extending his trip, but that’s what happens when people get written out.
Days characters can end up behaving in ways they normally wouldn’t and then relationships start falling apart.
Even a true love match can be ruined when it’s time to slide someone toward the exit door.
With that in mind, it’s reasonable to think Gabi might make a mistake that Stefan can’t get past.
Now that Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) is in the mix, what if some cheating goes down?
Dimitri is handsome, confident and powerful, so he’s exactly the kind of man Gabi might spar with and ultimately become attracted to.
Maybe Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson) could even encourage the idea if she decides Dimitri should blow up “Stabi” to further their agenda.
Megan and Dimitri might stand a better shot at taking over DiMera themselves with Stefan and Gabi’s relationship in shambles.
Gabi’s planning to remarry Stefan for keeps this time, but could a betrayal with Dimitri get in the way?
