Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will have some important updates for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) during the week of August 28-September 1. It looks like that’s when Jada and Rafe will find out Paulina is the new mayor of Salem!
Abe Carver (James Reynolds) isn’t truly ready to resume his old role just yet, but he needed a way to cut off Clint Rawlings’ (Grayson Berry) power.
Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) came up with the solution of having Paulina fill in for Abe instead, so she’ll be sworn in soon enough.
Of course, Paulina may suggest she’s more than willing to make things right by reinstating Rafe, who was fired by Clint for sleeping with his subordinate.
In fact, the need for a reliable police commissioner will be pretty dire by then since Days spoilers say Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) will be busy hitting rock bottom.
However, there’ll be one part that’s tricky since Rafe really did break the rules by getting involved with Jada romantically.
This is something that’s outside the mayor’s control since the city council is behind the policy about not dating a subordinate.
Days spoilers say Paulina may reluctantly give Rafe a choice.
It could be a situation where Paulina is only willing to hire Rafe back if he’ll stop seeing Jada or at least agree to do it behind closed doors.
Naturally, that’s not what Rafe wants at this point. Now that Rafe has had a little taste of being in a public relationship with Jada, he may insist he doesn’t want to go backward.
DOOL fans can expect Rafe to make a tough decision that’ll affect his career, so he may decide to stay on this new path.
Days spoilers say there’s the potential for Rafe to join Black Patch and provide PI services or maybe he’ll do something else entirely.
Regardless, Rafe might recommend Jada be promoted instead since he knows she was disappointed when Clint gave Shawn the police commissioner job over her.
Paulina would gladly give Jada the role instead, so that may be how everything works out in the end.
