Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Monday, January 23, teases that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will panic over Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) lifeless body. Since John won’t be ready to surrender all hope, he’ll race Marlena to Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) in the ER and beg her to save his wife.
While Sarah gets to work, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will lead another prayer for Marlena.
Days spoilers say Eric, Belle Brady (Martha Madison) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) will try to believe in miracles, but Marlena won’t get one – at least not yet.
When Sarah reveals that Marlena didn’t make it, John will mourn the loss along with Eric, Belle and Will.
Sarah will give Marlena’s family members some alone time to bid farewell, so Eric will get a moment with his mom – and so will Belle.
Once the room clears out, John will sit by Marlena’s bedside and insist that their love will never truly die.
Marlena and John will forever be in each other’s hearts, so that’ll bring him a small piece of comfort.
From there, viewers will get their first glimpse of Marlena in the afterlife.
DOOL fans can expect Marlena to enter a bright room that’s bathed in light, so she’ll be baffled over what’s happening.
Days spoilers say Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) will appear within the next episode or two, so she’ll be a key player when it comes to this heavenly situation and what comes next.
Back at the hospital, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) will nearly console Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) with a kiss, so Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will get a shock and fume at them both.
While Allie blasts Chanel and Johnny over their lingering attraction, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) will have some bad news following his trip to see Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).
Days spoilers say Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) will get updates on Ava’s continued mental deterioration, so she’ll see how broken up Tripp is about it.
After Johnny appears and realizes Tripp’s whining about Ava, he’ll lash out since Ava caused his grandmother’s death by car explosion.
Johnny will deck Tripp over Susan’s grim fate and leave Wendy appalled. Of course, Johnny may accuse Wendy of taking Tripp’s side due to her feelings for him.
Wendy will have a chance to complain about Johnny’s feelings for Chanel too, so love will remain messy in Salem!
